Hi, I haven't played many shooters on the iPad yet and find myself wanting to try one or two out lately. I've looked at Dead Effect and Neon Shadow but I'm not sure they're what I'm looking for. I have Bounty Hunter: Black Dawn, but while that seems to have what I want, there's just something missing. I have Dead Space but I'm not entirely keen on how that controls - and I'm a wimp.

    • I have no preference between FPS, Dual Stick, Third Person or Top down.
    • I'd like there to be level ups, skill trees and/or upgrades if possible.
    • A story line would be nice.
    • Have no interest in multiplayer.

Any suggestions? What are some of your favourites?

Ah forgot that one, already have it :) Its definitely a good game and I like the mechanics, but I'm hoping for something with a little more depth.

  4. If you're not looking for a super in-depth story, I'd recommend Mass Effect Infiltrator. It's really fun, but the controls might take some getting used to. In my opinion, they are very good, and you'll be killing aliens like a pro. It's from the same guys who made Dead Space iOS. I haven't played Dead Space iOS, but I've heard it's really really good and I want it.

I'm pretty sure you've played Gameloft's shooters, but if you haven't for some strange reason, look into Modern Combat and NOVA.

Block Fortress is an excellent hybrid shooter, and N.Y.Zombies 2 is an excellent action survival shooter.

Zombie Kill of the Week is like a 2D Call of Duty Zombies.

Random Heroes 2 is much better than the first.

EPOCH. is great. It's like if Infinity Blade were a shooter full of robots.

Epoch 1 & 2 are both great. Minigore 2 is currently free and it is awesome.

I've gone for Dead Effect for the moment, hopefully I won't be too much of a wimp to play it after the first attempt ;).

I have Inferno +, it's the first game of the kind I've ever played and absolutely love it, stays firmly in my favourites folder.

I've looked at Indigo Lake a lot, I really like the look of it and the atmosphere it seems to have. I like exploration on games and that seems to have it in spades, but I get the sense that there's just a lot of running around until you stumble upon something. i.e the slender games and the pages, I've only tried one of them once and didn't like it. I could be wrong, and if I am then that'll be the next on my list.

You're right about Indigo Lake. It is more of an adventure game (like those point and click types) with some FPS elements and battle system. It's still pretty good though

  11. Neon shadow, dead trigger 2, nova 3, modern combat 4, infected wars, and call of duty strike team are all games that I have played recently, and enjoying them all.
