It's a pretty good platformer, with plenty of unlockable that can be bought with in-game tickets that can be earned by playing the main game along with various arcade-inspired mini-games. I'd say get it for free. syntheticvoid Well-Known Member Jun 20, 2010 14,504 124 63 Musician & factory worker. a[V-O-I-D] http://apparentsymmetry.bandcamp.com #3 syntheticvoid, Dec 4, 2011 hmm... not a bad platformer, but I did run across some bugs and weird issues while I was playing, for instance, if you’re running, and run against a platform that came down to squish you, while you are waiting for it to rise up again, the screen will keep going right, like your character was still in the middle of the screen, leaving you all the way on the left side of the screen, and then disappearing, until the game over screen pops up. Also, when a platform is seesawing, the coins, tokens, fruits and enemies that are on that platform are not stationary, and are left to fall off of these moving platforms. There were some instances where I would shoot at an enemy, and my shot would go right through it, or I would accidentally run into an enemy, and he would crawl up and around my character without harming him. Lastly, there are some weird collision detection issues with the platforms, enemies, and especially the boxes you’ll need to head-butt. The boxes do not let you jump through them while you’re right under them, but if you go at them from an angle, you will be able to jump right through them. These issues, all but the collision detection and objects on seesawing platforms, are rare, and I only encountered once or twice. But they are still present, though nothing that can’t be fixed with a quick update, and I’m not even sure the free moving objects on seesaws is an issue, might just be something I consider a little weird... ninjackid Well-Known Member May 27, 2010 9,380 2 38 #4 ninjackid, Dec 4, 2011 Yeah, it does have quite a few issues. It's not the most polished platformer out there, IMO... Bertman Well-Known Member Sep 7, 2011 308 0 0 #5 Bertman, Dec 4, 2011 Yeah for some reason I hyped myself up a lot about this game. It's fun but would be better with more polish that it really does lack. For free I would pick it up. Maybe there will be updates to fix the problems. It's one of those games that you feel could be great but falls short. It has an addictive quality to it thanks to the shop system. The problem for me was that it got extremely repetitive despite the randomized nature of the levels. There's not enough variety in the way the levels are generated. Nice controls and a nice freebie. I'm sure I got my $2 worth. Black Hive Media Well-Known Member Jul 7, 2009 298 0 0 #8 Black Hive Media, Dec 5, 2011 Yep free - grab it while it's hot! We have an update that is in review for some new ways to continue playing (so you don't have to restart) with another update in the chamber that adds some new store and redemption game goodness.
