A friend of mine shared this via Twitter, and, once I saw that it was coming to iOS, I just had to spread the news! It may have taken "The Legend of Grimrock" awhile to make it over, but maybe that opened up the floodgates for awesome iOS dungeon crawlers.

It's a Kickstarter campaign too, so be sure to donate some cash if you want to see it reach the light of day.

Here's a link to an excellent article with some more details about the game.

    Check it out!

    Looks great!

From what i read on the RPG codex forums, there were old prototypes of the game long before the Grimrock release date. That said, the real commercial project was launched 2 years ago. And they want to push the concept further.

We need more good dungeon crawler on mobile,i'll support this one!

Here's a new article. I translated it from French for your convenience. :)

Here's a new screen shot, and the latest trailer too! This game looks incredible!

I couldn't get the video to embed properly this time, so here's the direct link.

After seeing that trailer, it kinda pisses me off that Almost Human took so long to bring The Legend of Grimrock to iOS. These guys are clearly supporting mobile platforms, and their game looks just as good (if not better) than TLoG. :)

Looks really cool! Reminds me of those old adventure/RPG/puzzle games like Connections and Riven: Mist.

Is there actual combat? How does it work?

Yup, there's combat as well as environmental interaction for puzzles. :) From what I can tell from the photos and two videos, the combat will be just like the old Eye of the Beholder games. Or, for a more recent comparison, The Legend of Grimrock. Being that I grew up playing EOB, I'm SUPER excited at the chance to play a similar game on my iPad. :D Oh, and I saw on their Twitter page that they recently were greenlighted, so this game is definitely coming out! :)

Today we got Legend of Grimrock on iPad, and now here's some more good news! As of 4-27-2015, it looks like it's on track to launch at the end of May! :D HUZZAH!

    Thanks for the info.

    I can hardly wait!

I grew up on the Eye of the Beholder type games and loved every minute them.

    Thanks

You're very welcome! I did too! I must have played through EoB 1 & 2 about a million times. I'd always get halfway through and want to experiment with a different party build. :D

I really only played Eye of the Beholder once on my Amiga computer.

I had The Black Crypt and Dungeon Master and Captive to still work through.

    Good times!

I think i have played every DM inspired dungeon crawler since 1987. Even the really obscure ones, so i'm looking forward to this one!
