      Im a big fan of rtype - gradius - 1942

      what are the best ipod touch games that are similair to those

      I can't remember, is 1942 a top-down view? or side-view?

      Look @ AeroWings, it is a pretty well polished app with some nice features. Though, it is fairly sluggish.

      ill check that out, yeah side scrolling / top view style one of my favorite games like that is tyrian...

      Might wanna check out SkySmash 1918, I really like it and it's only a buck. Don't know how it compares to others in the app store as I'm not a big fan of the genre.
