Does Apple allow the ability to let users create and share custom made game levels (i.e. custom made maps, race tracks, puzzles) with other players if the mechanics of a game support it? The game editor would be built into the game. I am guessing I would need my own server to support such a setup. Are there any good examples out there of games that support user created content that can be shared among players. Perhaps I'd have some sort of internal ranking system for levels that players rated.
I think that your idea is really good and the game could have a very high user interactive level in there. I don't really know about if Apple allows it or not but I think that the mechanic of Draw Something is somehow letting user to create their own custom level no? Antony
That's certainly possible. Had been done by a lot of popular games, like Labyrinth. I'm hoping to implement something like this myself for my next game too.
