Is this going to be a "jump in and play" type of game like a Battlefield 1942 game? Also, I am curious as to how big the maps are going to be.
More on Touch Tanks... We are very exciting about Touch Tanks and are really looking forward having it released soon. We really wanted to bring a fun game play, like Touch Hockey, together with the popularity of our online board games. We spent a lot of time to determine a real-time game play that could work over a cell network and it's greatly exceeded our expectations! To answer some questions, the map is approximately 3 screens high and 2 screens wide. In version 1.0, there are mines and shells with an option to upgrade your tank. We may bring the maximum player count per game down from 8 to 6 as it's fairly insane with 8 players right now. The game play is very smooth of 3G an Wi-Fi and drops off slightly on EDGE. We really put a lot of attention to the detail of the smoke, explosions, terrain, etc. We even have internally an elevation map, so that your tank slows down going uphill, goes faster downhill. All the graphics are truly 3D so you will see your tank roll left, right, up or down. You can even tilt your iPhone to the left or right and see around buildings or under the trees for a real 3D experience. Version 1.0 has a Forest map and a Desert map. Seems pretty cool. Recently the main games I play on my phone are the ones with multiplayer. I was playing Mecho Wars every day until Rogue Planet came out, along with WWF, Eliminate, and a few others. Can't wait to see how this turns out. Plus+ seems like a strong platform for multiplayer games.
What game modes are there? i'm hoping for Capture the Flag and Team Deathmatch, oh as well as voice chat
