Hey everyone, at Pixelthis we are currently working on a new iPhone game, "Rune Mage". The game is set to be released the end of next month. Take a look at some of the concept art and the official game page. We think this is going to be huge. Hope you like the look of the world we are building. Cheers
Rune Mage sounded like a brilliant name for an RPG. Shame. But I digress. My question is, in an App Store already crowded with puzzle games, what does your game do that adds value?
I'm glad you asked, basically we have 2 major points of difference we are aiming for. 1) Story driven - Rune Mage isn't a game that is simply about solving puzzles, we have very large plans for the franchise and this is just the first of many adventures into the world of Rune Mage. Rune Mage follows the story of our hero through a unique universe, with gorgeous comic-style cut scenes. 2) Quality - Lets face it the app store is crowded, but not with applications/games that are all of a premium quality. Pixelthis aims for all our games to really shine visually, in audio and in game play.
Some screenshots from the PC version which will be released the same time as the iPhone version. http://www.pixelthismobile.com/blog/3/04/2009/rune-mage-sneak-preview-pc
From my limited experience playing puzzle quest (I downloaded it and played it for the first time just now) I would say that the puzzle mechanic is very different.
