In the level you mentioned, 2-13, the only solution I know is to turn blocks black in a way that splits the red blocks so they can only fold in an expected direction. In most levels if you end up with more than one row or column of the same colour you already lost. I wasn't aware of this, pretty cool. Every solution I came up with makes use of all the surfaces.
