Even though i have a 3rd ge touch i used to have a first, and yes all features work on a 1g touch. The game is one of my fav iphone games. GET IT!

I have to agree, I'm not a "retro" gaming person, per se. I remember playing Space Invaders on my family's Atari 2600 and it was just "another" arcade game to me at the time. Well, recently on OpenFeint my buddy cranker's account always Shows- Last Played: Space Invaders Infinity Gene so I knew it would be awesome, it still exceeded my expectations!
The action can get monotonous, but there are tons of upgrades and cool stuff to unlock, PLUS the innovative Music Mode, so it's one of those neat little collector games, I guess. But for the gameplay, it's more like a 6 out of 10.
