Just wanted to post a heads up that GemCraft has a universal binary update comming to allow for full ipad support!

The update is finished and were doing a final test so we should be able to submit in just a few days.

Gemcraft has lots of varied size landscapes so how the game works on iPad is it auto scales from super sized to small size based on the map you are playing. On smaller maps you get a retina quality graphics spread over the full ipad screen, and on larger maps you get a much more scaled down battlefield so you can see the whole landscape at once. There is no scrolling or zoom controls on the ipad because there is no need anymore!

    Check out a screenshot below:

You can check out the free version on your phone to see how it plays. Its a TD game but it has a lot of customizability and strategy that sets it apart. GemCraft (original) was extremely successful due to these factors and we believe we have captured what makes it great and brought it here for you.

Assuming it's anything like the Flash game, it's more a TD+RPG concept; you get to use XP to buy skills (the skill tree reminds me of Diablo 2), as well as bump your HP and other stuff. The gems are more just the towers -- one gem will freeze, another will cast area damage, etc -- but can be combined with each other. It's a pretty nifty web game, at least, and seems like it would translate well.

Yendi is correct and yes Yendi it is like the flash game in that regard.

In other news if you want to get the universal iPad version 50% off, do so now while the game is on sale before the big update.

Any ideas on a release date for the universal update? I just purchased the game for $0.99 and I'm waiting for the update before I start playing.

Going universal instead of a separate app? Cool. Will pick it up now then.
