Jump on the blocks as the titular character Quadle, changing the block colors till they are red. Once red they fall away. Eliminate all blocks on the screen to go to the next level. Be careful not to corner yourself into a situation where you can't jump to the next block! With three worlds and a initial offering of 96 levels there is plenty of arcade puzzle action to frustrate I mean to enjoy. Of course just when you think you get the hang of it, Quadle is introduced to new surprises, like switch panels, spring beams, drop blocks and more. Can you get through all 96 levels? I am the ABSOLUTE worst when it comes to releases! I can't seem to ever get the whole NZ release thing right. Hopefully next game I can get it down. In any case here for your consideration is Quadle. Our little "Arcade Jumping Puzzler" game. No real story, No gimmicks, just your little blue guy and 96 puzzles to negotiate. I know it looks like Q-Bert and in a TON of ways is inspired by it. But the game is different. There are no bad guys chasing you and the mechanics are different. You jump from block to block and indeed this drops the color down. Once the color is red though the block or Qube drops away. You win the board when you remove all the Qubes, you loose the board when you corner yourself and still have Qubes you can't reach. Simple but in later levels i think HARD. But then again you toucharcade game geniuses will probably see what through my game. Cause you guys and gals are awesome and all. So if you take the gamble and trade me one of your US dollar equivalents for the game. Please let me know if you have any comments or suggestions. We would love to add or improve to the game if it adds value! Happy Jumping! The good news there is plenty of room for others to upload a score to the leaderboard, as it currently is only occupied by me! Quadle has two play modes currently, first mode is Freerun, which works like a lot of iOS games, start with level 1 and play it through each level you unlock you can go back and play with the level selector. The second mode is Scorerun which always starts you at level 1 and let's you play through to you give up and posts your best score to the local table and to Game Center. HAVE FUN! Kisguri Well-Known Member Oct 27, 2010 297 24 18 Male Game Design Planet Earth, Sol System http://www.Clickteam.com #6 Kisguri, Oct 15, 2015 leaderboard entries Woo hoo! I checked the leaderboard on game center before hitting the hay and four more players have posted scores! I know its kind of silly of me, but even after all these years of game development, it super exciting to see people play something I put together! To those who tried it thanks for giving it a shot and your support, any feedback you have would be most welcome. In the meantime someone go beat my score!! It is my own fault really, I am not doing very well with the art of promotion on this title. (Kicks self in posterior) I do appreciate immensely the 35 people who so far have given Quadle a try. If any of you are reading this, any feedback would be most appreciated!! In hopes of promoting the game a bit more here is five more codes. If you take one please let us know here and if you like maybe you could be kinda and give a review and some feedback. Happy Quadling! caanerud Well-Known Member Mar 28, 2011 998 0 0 #9 caanerud, Oct 20, 2015 Looks pretty good to me. That just seems awful to put work into something and see it sell less than 40 copies. Hope things turn around for you. Zineman Well-Known Member Jul 7, 2014 129 0 16 #10 Zineman, Oct 20, 2015 This is a pretty nice game! I've only completed the first 8 levels so it's early thoughts............graphics are clean, do the job, music is good, there are a couple of control options; both are serviceable although I prefer the swipe as its a little quicker (as you are graded on the speed you complete the levels). Not sure yet if there will be much variation or new mechanics in later levels at this stage. One thing that is definitely needed is a quick restart button; I've been playing free play and it's a bit of a pain to quit out and then select the level again when you just want to dive back in after you've made a mistake. I also noticed a bit of a bug. When I swiped across to world 2 level select it kicked me back to world 1 but overlaid the text. I've been playing on my iPad which is still on iOS 8 though so it might be that. Overall I'd have been happy if I'd bought this and hadn't received a code. I'll play a little more when I get a chance and leave some more feedback. matyou98 Well-Known Member Jun 18, 2012 293 3 18 #11 matyou98, Oct 20, 2015 Wanted to thank Dev again for the promo code. I really like the sharp colorful graphics and the good production values in the game. Music was also really good. You can tell there was a lot of effort put into the game. The movement and level layout definitely reminds me of qbert. The goal of each level is to make all the blocks disappear. Depending on the color of each block it may take 2-5 jumps before it disappears. The fun comes along when there are different colored blocks and you need to figure out the proper path to take to clear the level. The levels are timed and you get up to 3 stars depending on how fast you can complete them. While I enjoyed playing this game, I can say it's not the type of game I would normally play. With that said this game is full of quality and if you have any interest in the game mechanics it's well worth the asking price. AndThereItIs Member Oct 20, 2015 18 0 0 #12 AndThereItIs, Oct 20, 2015 Game looks neat. How fast do you guys go through the levels, is it short Ilker Guest #13 Ilker, Oct 20, 2015 Last edited by a moderator: May 17, 2020 - VirtualBoyFreak Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Apr 26, 2011 4,786 73 48 Spain #14 VirtualBoyFreak, Oct 20, 2015 Kisguri, thanks a lot for the code. I've played just 3 levels because it's not the kind of game I usually enjoy. For those of you who like puzzle games, it's got a Q-bert feeling, but focused on the puzzle aspect of thinking how to get all the blocks out of the screen. As levels increase, you have to jump more times on each of the blocks, so the game forces you to think moves in advance to avoid a blockout, but to get 3-star rating on a level you have to move fast, so there's a time pressured involved in each level. Gfx-wise, they are colourful and look very nice. I really hope you have luck with this one. I'm more into the Vincere Totus Astrum kind of game Kisguri Well-Known Member Oct 27, 2010 297 24 18 Male Game Design Planet Earth, Sol System http://www.Clickteam.com #15 Kisguri, Oct 21, 2015 @caanerud I appreciate the comments, I am hoping we can grow awareness of the title and maybe be a late bloomer of sorts. Maybe you can review it on iTunes if you decide to grab it and play! @Zineman Thanks for the input, I will make a a replay button as a option when you pause how does this sound? It was all suggested elsewhere that maybe a single undo button would be cool. I am considering it. I will test on iPad the bug you mentioned is it consistent? Its not the OS as my main device is still 8. @matyou98 Thanks for giving it a shot and throwing us a bit of feedback! @AndThereItIs Well most people say early on the game levels go quick, but by level 20 or so the begin to be bit mind twisting. Let me know if you decide to give it a shot! @VirtualBoyFreak You are the man! Might be worth noting a bit of what happens later on, some of the "Special" qubes you will encounter. First up is the drop, this qube can only be jumped on once, and it drops you down several qubes then vanishes. Make sure to note if you can return to any unfinished qubes before using. Alternatively is the spring grid, which can lay over regular qubes. It causes you to jump up to another qube above you. Much later you will encounter the switch panel, which acts as a binary switch shrinking some panels and enlarging others depending on its switch state. sperryman Member Aug 19, 2013 5 0 0 Nerd #16 sperryman, Oct 21, 2015 Could you add in something that would save the last name yuou put in for the high score, so I could just click OK instead of having to type it in again?
