It looks AWESOME, but the language is Japanese. Will it release worldwide?

Final Fantasy Agito is an set in the same universe as the PSP game Final Fantasy Type-0, so the Agito has some familiar faces. Square Enix has not announced Final Fantasy Agito for the West, but it looks like they’re getting ready for an announcement.



The publisher registered two trademarks for Final Fantasy Agito in Europe, including the game’s logo. That’s a good sign!



“I wanted to write a story that depicted different fates for the main characters of Final Fantasy Type-0,” said producer Haijme Tabata. “Final Fantasy Type-0 was originally going to be for mobile phones, and we were fond of the title ‘Agito,’ so with that in mind, we began production of the project.”

Good grief, it's gorgeous. And freemium, with timers. NOOOOO! Yep, that kills it dead for me unless they are going to offer a reasonably full unlock. What a frustrating load of.. stuff. I want this so damn bad, but the timers are deal-killing.

 

Confirmed to be released in April in Japan App Store.

Lets hope they localize this one.

 

I am rapidly growing a dislike for Squenix. Ok I may be jumping the gun, but how the hell do you shoehorn in timers and free to play into an RPG!?

And on a second front, I know localisation isn't cheap, but they're not exactly short of a bob or two, why would they not at least do an English language version!? I just don't get it, Christ, even dubbed subtitles would do! I'd imagine there are even members on this forum who could and would do that for next to nothing!

 

They dont have timers in their f2p games.

 

Where have you been the last couple years? Ever heard of Glu, Mobage, Com2Us or Gamevil?

 

This will never get localized... Sad to say square barly ever does localization. Atleast for the games that really matter.

I'm really looking forward to play this game even if its f2p.

 

They have localized almost every "major" ios game they have released so far except for Rise of Mana and even that is fairly new.

 

The dragon quest games? Dragon quest VIII is one of the biggest rpgs EVER, not just on ios. If anything it will be years before they localize this.
