This is a thread for a game I worked on recently called Kurakku. I was the programmer, and worked with an artist and musician from Playjam, the company that created and released the game. As you board the intergalactic cruise liner the S.S Kurakku your mission is to guide the ship and its passengers safely around the galaxy. Your job is to recharge the ship using the ultimate environmentally friendly fuel, the Fruit Fuel Cell. If you can refuel in time then you get to depart on the next journey, exploring the most colourful and exotic corners of the universe. You have to fire coloured fruit fuel cells into the fuel tank using a pinball style launcher. Your aim is to clear the whole fuel tank of cells by creating groups of 3 or more matching cells. When 3 cells come together they explode and disappear to create the fruit fuel the ship will need for its next journey. The fuel tank comes part filled with cells that are arranged in colourful patterns. A single well-placed cell can lead to a cascade of exploding colours. The skill comes in judging just how far to pull the launcher back in order to make the perfect shot. Looks really cute and I will play this first thing shen Well-Known Member Jan 13, 2009 515 1 0 Christchurch, New Zealand http://www.shenmansell.com/iphone #3 shen, Aug 16, 2009 Thanks. Drop a post after you have played through it and let us know what you think. I think there is at least an hour of game play in Kurakku, even if you just play straight through the levels on your first go. While I was working on it, I found it was a bit too easy to get caught up in testing, and end up playing 10 or so levels when I should just have been checking the latest bug fix. That being said I think it only goes to show YOU can be deadly when your programming skills are paired up with professional artists. Hopefully PlayJam and you have more surprises up your sleeves.
