So I broke my thumb, and my action games are pretty much unplayable for awhile. I'm gonna invest in some word games, and am wondering what are the great ones out right now? I tried searching but didn't come up with anything. Don't really like scrabble, bought word fu, i may get wurdle. Any suggestions?

I like Bookworm and Textropolis. Those are the two word games I keep going back to.
(but they are not new or updated...)

I really enjoy Moxie and Words with Friends; both have Lite versions, so they're at least worth a test-run.

WordWeaver is on the top of my list right now, I think. But HexaLex is really close. I really enjoy Rummage too... there are a few more but, these are my current favorites i think.

Woxel, Lexic, Textropolis, WordFu, and Oh My Word 1 or 2 are all I can think of.

i used to be addicted to wurdle, but after my mate got an impossible score to beat i kind of lost interest.

but afteer going through this topic i just got about six lite versions of the word games suggested, will report back with what i like the best.

(i like moxie, but its comes off as a little stale sometimes,)

just in case someone else goes looking for word games, i'll put this here. I tried out a bunch, and these are keepers:

Lexic (the most polished word game out there. bought it. put it on page 1. super-slick, unlockable content, online leaderboards, etc. awesome game)

wordFu(another keeper. solid, fast gameplay, well made, & fun)

Moxie(keeping it. solid, well built, different from the others. a little dry, but still great)

    These got deleted:
wurdle (awesome game, but Lexic just does it WAY better)

Chicktionary(gimmick game. another word clone, but with annoying non-stop chicken noises)

TextTwist 2 (decent, but just feels old and done to death)

Stichem words (cool game, but constantly trying to figure out the pictures instead of thinking about words got old pretty quickly)
