iPhone Super: an Unreal Engine powered fighting game

    the game is called 'Super'. it centers around a group of heroes and villains battling throughout a cit. the heroes use their powers save the day. and the villains want to use their powers to rule over everyone. the choice between good and evil is up to the player. which means you can choose to either finish your opponent (MK9) style. or do the "good" thing and take them out peacefully, (or not-so-peacefully for some characters) after winning 2 rounds. there are also in game QuickTime events during special moves and level transitions that add a very cinematic feel to the game. fighting & movement however, is completely controlled by the player

    "Super is a Arcade fighting game Created with the Unreal Engine for IOS. choose between 10 superheroes and villains to ultimately save the day, or destroy it."

    its a fighting game much like Tekken, Or SFIV. Its still a work in progress. the release has been delayed in order to improve the game as much as possible. now aiming for a December release.
    Includes:
    • Combos
    • Holds
    • special moves
    • dynamic blocking
    • 10 playable characters
    • unlock-able characters
    • dynamic environments (falling buildings, moving platforms, battlefields,epicness)
    • Movement (This Is Not On Rails)

    Seems like a nice project, something like City of Heroes mixed with Tekken ? me likey !

    Yeah its for iphone too, were just working on improving the textures so it looks as close to console quality as possible. as soon as thats done a post will be up on the site. should be a few weeks, thanks for the support!

    Character concept art: 'Atlas'

    some rough concept art

    a muscle-bound military scientist, obsessed with augmentation and improving the human body, had his arms removed and replaced with 6 robotic arms. he lost his funding and was discharged from the military & now kidnaps, experiments on people and commits crimes to fund his research.

    the Enemy A.I. means its never scripted and something unexpected can always take place.
    Rounds wont be repetitive or staged like other IOS fighting games.

    for this video ive only set up close quarters combat (CGQ)
    so the enemy will run forward and preform various attacks.

    and have removed the super move option & long distance attacks, they will be seen running on the ipad/ iphone4 in the next video!

    the video also shows off a function that randomizes between characters when a new stage is loaded. this helps to make it feel new every-time you play.
    this game really focuses on that arcade replayable style that's perfect for mobile gaming.
    as im tryin to avoid character spoilers its randomly choosing between two characters: captain awesome & dragon.

    Hi, heres a quick demo on the ipad 2. it shows the main menu, game modes, Graphics and an extremely short clip of game-play.

    the game is still in development and there is no set release date. its expected to be in the app store during Q1 2012. trying to release a polished product and that takes time. thanks for being patient :)
