Gears is going to be a ball roller based heavily on Steampunk influences filled with puzzles that involve turning gears, growing vines, and other fantasy-based elements. The game is going to launch with full Retina Display support sometime this Spring along with the other games Crescent Moon Games has in production.
That is another game I am looking forward to put my hands on. Honestly. CMG games are all very good! I haven't played them all ... yet
Hey Josh! there will be just tilt controls or some d-pad or analog config? anyway, congrats for this game, its amazing! im looking for that! =D
Right now it's tilt control but I would hope for an optional joystick option, the difficulty is brutal right now Josh.
I told Corey I thought this game would do better with some optional controls(d-pad or trackball) but the way he was talking weeks ago, it sounded like tilt control is all there will be unless CMG was able to tell him different or he changed his mind. By the way I love the new art direction.
Purely by graphics? No. It's simple: I haven't seen one bad or bad looking game by CM Games + I love puzzles. Can't be bad after these. BTW: So called? Ehh.
This looks great, seriously great. But (there is always a but isn't there?) not doing well at tilt controls (I am AWFUL at them) and the consensus this is difficult for people that LIKE tilt controls, I hope that some other control mechanic is implemented so we tilt challenged individuals can enjoy the game too!
There should definitely be a touch/joystick option. I dislike tilt-only games in general, and the only tilt game I am good (or at least decent) at is Tilt to Live. >_<
