I'm tackling unit control in a game I'm currently working on and I wondered if there'd be any consensus about what people prefer in the TA community.

Two simple examples that come to mind for selecting and moving units (in real time):

Walking Dead - one tap selects, double-tap moves.

Kingdom Rush: Frontiers - one tap selects hero, one tap moves.

From my experience, in the single/single option you trade potential mistaken orders for speed and ease. The single/double on the other hand, while less nimble, seemed more reliable.

I wouldn't feel like either option was the wrong choice to make - but do any of you have a preference? Or a totally different example you think worked really well?
