I also hope this may mean we see Jets'n'Guns, or Undercroft on the iPhone. mr. nug Active Member Sep 28, 2008 34 0 6 #11 mr. nug, Jan 8, 2009 This one is good. I am in the camp that agrees that we have seen lots of platformers for the iphone, but not many good ones (exceptions imo include TBD and Rolando). Anyway, I bought archibald's adventures and I am really enjoying it. It has a very smooth frame rate and the puzzles are fun and inventive. There are also a TON of short levels which is great for a handheld game. If you like platformers I highly recommend this title. The price seems a little steep for the app store economy, but this one is well worth the asking price. Kudos to the dev. Also, the controls actually work quite well- I have had no problems. This game goes into my top ten list. I got a free promo code for Archibald's Adventures a few days ago. It's a side-scroller/puzzle game for the iPhone/iPotch $7.99. It's very addicting with over 100 levels. Main Features: - Go through 114 levels in this mind blowing action puzzle platform game - Experience innovative gameplay with many unique features of the hero: transportation of objects, riding on walls and ceilings, flying with a jet armchair and more - Use your wit and fast reaction to avoid nasty dangers of the mad scientist's mansion - Use the professor's device pod to climb the walls or his artificial intelligence matter to solve riddles - Encounter lots of weird and funny lifeforms running loose in the levels! Thanks Tennisking1o1 Well-Known Member Nov 15, 2008 1,393 9 0 #14 Tennisking1o1, Jan 12, 2009 Looks really cool. However, is there a way to configure the controls somehow? It has tons of levels and really challenging puzzles. Yeah, the price is a bit high, but cosidering they will be adding more levels( see TA feature), it is a really good value. Love it, definatly pick it up kenban Member Jan 25, 2009 7 0 0 #20 kenban, Feb 16, 2009 I am just about done with Archibald's Adventures (have 8 levels left to complete) and I am just amazed at how little its brought up in best of lists. I have found the game to be one of the best iPod Touch games I have played yet. It has its problem areas for example the very last level is a little too much twitch game play after the puzzles of the rest of the game. Its more about moving two boxes as quickly as possible while running from a couple of mobs then solving anything complex. But the overall package is an amazing puzzle game which is definitely worth the $4.99 I paid. I am really hoping the sales are there for this game because I want to see future titles from the developer. If you have not tried it out yet I would download the lite version at the very least. I am really looking forward to the free expansion thats coming in the next update. I looked up the developers site and it appears the new levels are in beta so I would expect to see them released soon. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
