Man I know what you mean. I wouldn't mind if they did old school with Simon's Quest. This one doesn't look to hot...
I played Dawn of Sorrow on the DS, it's great! It's very true to old-school platformer but with additional elements like buying and upgrading weapons, special moves and all that. It's one of my favourite. That said, the artwork style is different from the usual Castlevania. The sorrow series has a standard anime looks. I wonder how the controls are. EDIT: I just watched the video.. Is it real? I assume that's a WIP because it looks so much better on the DS with the background graphics, better interface and all. That one in video looks like a cheap low-class game, so not Castlevania.
+1 for Simon's Quest. One of the better Castlevania games. Just up the graphics and the sound and it'll scorch. Back to topic, aye it looks like a wip..or i hope it's still a wip coz it's still improvable if there's such a word
