The trailer for my next game just made it to Indiegames.com somehow, so I guess it's time to start pimping the game a bit here as well. The game is a pretty straight forward 2.5D megaman clone, set in the old west. I first started this project years ago (2008 I think) and my goal was to make something very traditional without any gameplay gimmicks and just focus on the craftmanship. Obviously I haven't worked on it full time since then though; after many years of hiatus I picked up the production a while after I released Helium Boy late last year. The game is nearly done and will hopefully be out in about one month and will cost 1.99$.
GREAT animation! Since this is pretty much a Megaman inspired game, would it be possible to have a charge attack in the form of a powerful musket shot?
Man, this looks great. When he took down the horse, I thought that looked super awesome! And, I agree with gunxsword, the animations look really really good.
Whats the replay value of this game? is there a story with a set amount of levels or is it side scroller with endless, or both!?
When I saw the character's animations I remember the homebrew Project GMC. I don't know why Anyway, insta-buy
Wow, I didn't really expect anyone to make that connection, but yes it's actually the same game (and the animations for the main character haven't been changed at all) The original prototype was made ages ago and was put on ice while I was working at a few different companies and I picked it up again last year after releasing Helium Boy, completely changed the setting and style and made it into a full game.
Yes it's universal However I haven't had the chance to test it on the new iPad and the game is fairly demanding so I deemed it safer not to support retina display on ipad until I have had the chance to thoroughly test the performance
Based on that video, you've certainly got my money the minute it's released. And iCade support from the get-go is a fine touch indeed!
