Does the 3.0 ability to embed maps allow for offline viewing? If so this could open the door for an actually reliable offline map service. The current one I have is offmaps (which is missing a lot of data from sydney.
Are you expecting the entire maps database to be embedded in the app? Would caching of maps you have visited be sufficient?
