We have Football, Soccor, Hockey, Basketball, Golf & even fishing. So where are the Baseball games? Please no offense to the Devs that have games in place in the App Store, but sorry to say they pale in comparison to the likes of say MLB the Show. Yes I am aware pigs will fly before The Show is released on the IOS, but where is the Gameloft equivalent? Or am I the only one who would love to see a game like that released? I would thing the iPhone would be a great fit for a baseball game. The multi touch screen could be well suited for great pitching & batting techniques.
Yes any quality release would have to make some sort of simplified control scheme to make the game feasible.
exactly...also 9 innings baseball is great too. It has real players and teams and everything. you are asking for too much. MLB the show or any game like it would be too much for the device. I am a big baseball fan and alot of great baseball games are out.
I'm not saying those games "suck" at all. Both of those are great titles in their own right and very fun to play. I suppose I'm just hoping for more of a Baseball sim instead of cartoon like graphics. Look at Maddens for example if you can simplify a football game like that for the IOS I can't see why a baseball sim would be out of the realm of possibility.
Something to consider is a lot of iPhone development occurs outside the US and the games are sold worldwide. I don't think baseball is particularly popular outside of North America and Japan.
We may have basketball and hockey, but they really suck. Yes. 9 Innings is the best game, and it's the only one I've kept, but there are just way too many issues with that game.
