Does anyone know any good space based conquest/strategy games around? (In the mould of Master of Orion, for example...)
Depending on what exactly you mean by conquest/strategy you might find that Starpagga fits the bill. It is a shooter but a fairly epic one with some very large and very smart ships and a lot of different weapons. There is a thread about it here
Starpagga - I have this, but it's more like a shooter/arcade game and I didn't think the game was that good. AI certainly needs more work. WI - Have this game too but prefer this at a space setting Galcon - Not 'deep' enough Any more suggestions? =)
well Outer Empires is a really deep space based MMORPG, one of the first non-text based ones for the iphone/ipod touch. It really is a lot of fun, and it has strategy elements in the sense that you are always looking at different colonisation options with your faction. (one of the main points of the game is to colonise different systems throughout the galaxy)
you could wait for Red Conquest, it's like a sequel to Blue Attack but it's an RTS(Real Time Strategy)
Wow, that is really funny to me... given that I would describe my App, Red Conquest, as a "space based RTS"... and the name even has "conquest" in it... The app should be out in a couple of weeks, if the approval goes smoothly.
