    Deal is dead

GOG was giving away 4 free PC/Mac games on June 24 by "flash" sale but the promotion is over, I'll update if any other freebies come up.

    June 24
4th Title: Alan Wake's American Nightmare [Dead, 3:00am-6:00am]
3rd Title: Torchlight [Dead; 5pm-8pm CST]
2nd Title: Still Life II [Dead; 12:10pm-3pm CST]
1st Title: Omerta [Dead; 8:36a-11am CST]

This was in addition to a prior all day freebie for Magrunner earlier in the sale.

Sweet. Thanks. I'll lock it in and hopefully the Mac version will be released soon...or just run it in Parallels on my MacBook to test it

It's on the main page near the top mixed in with all the awesome sale bundles. www.GOG.com

I don't think it's linkable. When you click on it, it just adds it to your library. Sort of like how's it's explained in the first post ;)

Forgive me for bumping this thread, but we don't have another recent GOG thread and it is about new freebies on GOG; extra flash sales all day and four freebies will be mixed it, one of them current for a bit longer.

Oh yeah sweet, Omerta is free...mediocre reviews on the Xbox 360 version, but ah well it's free. I bypassed it before on the page, probably never would have noticed it was free until I read that.

I don't know if they're planning to repeat the 4 free games, but I ended up getting all 4 of the free games. If it is just a one time thing, then I'd say you missed the other free games

Edit...nevermind, maybe Magrunner didn't count as part of the 4

The other titles have rotated out and back in again, so maybe the free ones may still have a chance to rotate in again.

Aww. I was hoping it would be something with an OSX version. Ah well. The Alan Wake series were all great on the Xbox 360

Can games bought on gog.com be installed via steam?

Nope. I kinda like gog a little better being all their games are DRM free and the install files are automatically downloaded first. Have a few games from Steam I can't play if I don't have an Internet connection when it checks if you own it or not. At least The Stanley Parable game gives you something funny when it can't check because I don't have internet connection.

i like gog cause it doesn't need a separate program to run games.
    doesn't need anything else.
I hate in order to run a steam game it needs to run the steam program and log into steam. My cousin got banned from steam for something he didn't do and there went his games he can't download anymore from the steam program

drm-free is the way to go.
    i hate steam

American Nightmare is free for 7 more minutes. Get it NOW!!!!

Yeah, Steam is pretty much the devil. But like the devil, I can't resist it forever. Stupid sales.....

Are these GOG freebies region-specific (ie NOT Canada?). None of them have shown up for me except Magrunner, even when I'm within the right time. They're shown as regular price.
