Hello everyone, My name is Umut Dervis, the developer of Eklips. Eklips is a minimalist puzzle game about completing squares around a dot. It's like tetris with a completely new gameplay mechanic, as a result it is harder and requires more strategical thinking as you go by, because of it's gameplay space. Basically all you can do is to drag the pieces along the borders. You can also flip asymmetrical pieces by sending them to empty walls. You also have one-level undo, which is not only helpful for correcting mistakes, but figuring out how game logic works (when squeezing outer blocks when a square is completed) and planning ahead, because sometimes completing a square would put you into a harder position, you have to wait for the right time. Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel - It is easy to learn, but hard to master. - Indefinitely playable (if you can, of course). - It has two difficulty modes, normal and hard. - It has beautiful music & soothing ambient sea sounds. - There are no ads, no IAP or that kind of stuff. ... You can grab Eklips from the App Store: Sorry if I'm accidentaly breaking any TA rules, I'm new and appinfo tag just didn't work for me (probably because app is new). I can answer your questions if you have any, and please feel free to write your opinions. Thank you for reading.
Thanks! if you decide to get it, please don't hesitate to write your opinion. With all the crazy games around, I guess it's hard to get any attention at all
Hi Umut, looks like a game for me, as I like Tetris based games. Will support you and try yours later! Much success...
Definitely will, just need to refresh my iTunes account, but does really look like a game I will enjoy.
Thanks for your kind support Sash-O, I hope you like the game! Thanks Sugimulm, great to hear that! ... I can't get a hold of the press, may be we seem so small, or perhaps I am not pitching well enough and game gets lost in all those new releases. It's a shame because I really like this game (since I took a lot of time to perfect it). I know I know, I'm the developer and my words probably doesn't count, but I know people can get really into it once they start playing. It would be really great if you tell people about the game, of course if you like it And I'm all ears if you have anything in mind, thanks everyone.
Beautiful game, excellent executed, a tetris killer ha ha, got a score of 250 so far. Just got a new highscore 351 he he.
Just got 600 points, I never really liked Tetris, I think this game is more fun than tetris ever was, for me anyway.
Roger-NL, very good especially for a new player, if I manage to add achievements in the updates, perhaps I should start score-based ones after 1000 points, because obviously you're gonna pass it very easily in the upcoming days! Testopi, wow great scores, it's really interesting you made better at hard, perhaps I should have made the hard mode harder? Thanks for the comments guys, I'm very glad you're liking it. Please feel free to speak your mind... and if you have some spare time, every review in app store is appreciated, I would really love to hear opinions from more people.
Just made an ad for a local game magazine (Thankfully, every month they're giving a page to a local indie developer without expecting payment). Turned out a bit like cheesy 80's but I like it, and wanted to share it here.
Like it UmutD, your game is a work of art, I just play it for the beauty alone, and while it looks great it is actually fun to play also. You need a bit of luck to get the right shapes, but that is part of the game, can't beat my score of 600 points, but I will play some more.
I love endless puzzle games, will download this when I'm home in an hour and will deff get back to you guys after =]
Thank you very much Roger, I'm really flattered and happy that you're liking it, these are the best things a developer can hear I guess By the way, have you discovered this little trick? It might help you go on further in the game (might take a while to load the animated gif):
My best at normal is around 5500, at hard it is just above 3000. I always think I can do better, but everytime I try to beat them, I manage to mess it up somehow But I'm sure there will people who will pass these scores, I think it is pretty doable when you play very careful. I hope you like the game! Please feel free to share your opinions
Thanks for dropping by! I'm looking forward to your opinion in case you decide to play it. Hmmm actually that gave me an idea, perhaps I should make a video where I show what makes the game special & different (at least for me) gameplay-wise. Sorry guys, now I'm just talking by myself
I thought it might be fun to discover by playing, but yeah, you're right probably another note for the next update
