If anyone wants to take the plunge here be my guest, While it looks cool, I have been burned a lot lately so I'm taking a pass Punchram Member Mar 31, 2016 20 0 1 #5 Punchram, Nov 14, 2016 I'm enjoying the game quite a bit so far, although I've only played through one dungeon. It does use the Dungelot mechanic of uncovering tiles, but the fighting element is very different in that you can block and riposte which require presice timing. It gives the game a much more active feel than other games in the sub-genre. Regarding iap, they don't seem to be necessary but provide faster ways to buy equipment and get performance perks. The perks you can pick up randomly in the dungeons and equipment can be purchased with gold - also found throughout the dungeons. Different characters can be unlocked through progress and also don't seem to require iaps. Really like the graphics/animations of the monsters as well. So far, definitely worth the 1.99. The iap will speed up the process but is definitely not necessary - as you level up you can increase your stat points and also assign points to your active and passive abilities - I just unlocked the rogue (you start with a caster and a knight unlocked) and it looks like play style will vary significantly based on your character This has been a great find and i highly recommend for those on the fence Scottlarsen Well-Known Member Nov 25, 2009 580 0 16 #9 Scottlarsen, Nov 15, 2016 This is a game that has a steam version and it was pretty good. sugimulm Well-Known Member Aug 28, 2010 2,456 46 48 The last time zone for iOS game releases :( #10 sugimulm, Nov 15, 2016 I can agree, but to add, you need to manually block with your shield. The game is legit and pretty darn good. Plays very similar to Dungeonlot. Ijipop Well-Known Member Jul 25, 2012 550 255 63 #11 Ijipop, Nov 15, 2016 Last edited: Nov 15, 2016 Excellent game. Love the art/animation too. Dungelot style but with a twist I really like! esty8nine Well-Known Member Dec 21, 2013 1,044 0 0 #12 esty8nine, Nov 16, 2016 Is there more depth then dungelot? Repulsa Well-Known Member Jul 3, 2015 1,582 79 48 #13 Repulsa, Nov 16, 2016 It appears to have more depth then Dungelot so far, yes There is more loot that you can find/buy of many types (armor, weapons etc ) there is also gem encrusting of said loot although I haven't gotten into that. I wish the developers were more clear on what you were buying in the IAP pack there is no description. If I knew what I was buying I might be more inclined to do so. Ijipop Well-Known Member Jul 25, 2012 550 255 63 #14 Ijipop, Nov 16, 2016 I played Dungelot for at least 40 hours and only 2-3 with this one. So far I think this game has a bit more depth and customization. New shops and ways to upgrade unlock as you progress through the story. The fact you have to block and counterattack makes this game more engaging than just tapping squares. I think it will take maybe around 6-8 hours to finish a dungeon with one character maybe more. And there's 5 character to play with their own loot and skills. So for 2$ you get plenty of gameplay. Only thing I can say is missing is an in-game autosave. If you're on lvl 22 of 25 and go to bed. You'll wake up at the title screen without being able to continue. I've written to the Dev about this and told him to drop here on TA. Anyway even without the auto-save feature. Still a very solid and "polished" game. Love the 3-D monster. Could be better than Dungelot... Time will tell! Repulsa Well-Known Member Jul 3, 2015 1,582 79 48 #15 Repulsa, Nov 16, 2016 Totally agree that we need an auto save feature, let's hope the developer listens Yes the mechanics are pretty much the same as dungelot but it's the differences that really count here. I have to say this does feel more involved i love the shielding action, it also has an old school crawler vibe for me. I love the look of this game vs dungelot as well, less cartoony more dark. stubbieoz Well-Known Member Jun 23, 2015 1,878 355 83 Male Grey haired gamer NSW Australia #16 stubbieoz, Nov 16, 2016 This has really got my attention. Before I buy though....what is the save system like? I understand that there is no auto save but can you manually save whenever you like? Repulsa Well-Known Member Jul 3, 2015 1,582 79 48 #17 Repulsa, Nov 16, 2016 Nope, it saves when you complete a dungeon, and your loot saves but if you just close the game it doesn't save and you can't save in the dungeons stubbieoz Well-Known Member Jun 23, 2015 1,878 355 83 Male Grey haired gamer NSW Australia #18 stubbieoz, Nov 16, 2016 Thanks for the reply. # Just one more question. If you can only save after completing a dungeon then approx how long does it take to complete a dungeon? Repulsa Well-Known Member Jul 3, 2015 1,582 79 48 #19 Repulsa, Nov 16, 2016 Not too long, the longest one I have beaten so far is the first main one and it was ten floors but when you get to floor five you can pay 100 gold to unlock a portal that allows you to start on floor 6 if you die. So every time after, the dungeon is much shorter I just unlocked the rogue and I am getting more addicted... this game is also more like a classic RPG in that you can also assign your stat points and enhance your skills as you desire. I have figured out the gem enhancement and that really allows for unique Customization of your weapons and armors. stubbieoz Well-Known Member Jun 23, 2015 1,878 355 83 Male Grey haired gamer NSW Australia #20 stubbieoz, Nov 17, 2016 Last edited: Nov 17, 2016 Sounds like a game I will enjoy. # Sold! Edit; This game is great, could do with a bit of help in the Engrish translation though. You can definitely see the Dungelot influence, which is a good thing, though this game has a lot more character customising and the blocking tactic is a welcome addition. But the lack of an auto save, or at least a save after each level in a dungeon, is a real bummer and I agree 100% with others posting here that the game desperately needs to have it added.
