From the videos it looks to be fun for a few minutes before blowing its wad on everything in that you pretty much can experience gameplay-wise. As much as I liked the movie, this looks stale... Is it a pass for anyone but fans or is the game somewhat redeemable gameplay-wise? leonheart1 Active Member Aug 16, 2009 44 0 0 #5 leonheart1, Jul 3, 2013 I already regret buying this app. It's just another poorly made Infinity Blade clone with a new theme. Exact-Psience Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 22,664 2 38 The Work-At-Home Guy Philippines #6 Exact-Psience, Jul 3, 2013 This game has more meat than most IB clones. The dodges are more similar to Horn. What makes this interesting is how you can make use of the environments to deal damage to enemies, and how the "slashes (in IB)" are utilized in this game which make for fun ways to deal with enemies. Fly through obstacles slamming enemies into them, uppercut enemies into the air, fly towards them, rapidly combo them while in the air, and slam them back into the ground Dragonball-style, punch downward to make them bounce off the ground a little, or simply punch them towards a different area. These things make it more complicated and a bit more fun that the usual IB clones, BUT with the limited number of locations and enemies, it does get stale. What the game needs is a real story mode with a bit of exploration, as this has nothing except a stage selection, and the selection is even presented worse than Arkham City Lockdown. For a buck, i say it's worth it, especially if you are looking to play a bit of IB with a different twist. Other than the decent twist on the battle system, it gets repetitive fast. As far as IAP goes, i finished story mode without buying any IAPs. Grinding off Zod was pretty easy, as the game only spikes in difficulty the last 2 or 3 story missions. Raf7777 Member Jun 25, 2012 24 0 0 #7 Raf7777, Jul 3, 2013 how long it is, just the main story? Exact-Psience Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 22,664 2 38 The Work-At-Home Guy Philippines #8 Exact-Psience, Jul 3, 2013 Well since you are going to have a hard time in the last 3 stages without grinding Zod, it would take about 2-3 hours to complete. The story mode isnt going to take that long if you can take them all in one run (could be possible but will be very difficult), but the grinding will up that number a bit. It's a short game, with comic-page-style of story telling. All its replay value is in the grinding and the survival mode, which all can end up feeling repetitive. I like the game, but it isnt something i'd easily recommend to anyone. That game was rather short but imo it worked in its favor as the had good pacing and very little grinding. Did u have both versions or only the hd one? Dunno if getting both as it seems a game better suited to the large screen but my both ipads are filled to the brim while my phone has loads of space. Is it any good on the tiny screen? Exact-Psience Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 22,664 2 38 The Work-At-Home Guy Philippines #10 Exact-Psience, Jul 3, 2013 I have the HD version of Man of Steel. They are the same structure, but World War Z is much better because it has an exploration part. Man of Steel is basically "battles-only Horn", while WWZ is a "Free-Roam Dark Meadow." All games mentioned are from Phosphor, which isnt really too surprising. IMO, WWZ is much better than MoS gameplay-wise, but the Superman fanboy in me disagrees with that. MeanTuna Well-Known Member Feb 20, 2012 752 0 16 Writer #11 MeanTuna, Jul 3, 2013 Yeah I liked WWZ much more than I anticipated, its a shame they didnt made MoS more like it. Ill get it though, at a buck its very hard to find an "unworthy" game. Thanks for the imps! (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
