Oh that's gonna be a killer! Love the previews one and this one is an instant buy too! Could well be the best football game on IOS, can't wait to play it! Will it be icade friendly? I really hope so!

So, I noticed that you do not have the names misspelled on the German National Team. Are you able to use real names for this one?

And, just to check, will you have MLS?

We do not own rights anyway I noticed many Football game uses real name even they have no rights. We will find a solution with our legal department, the worst case would be implementing a team editor.

About MLS yes, US championship is included

Awesome! Yeah, I've also noticed that a lot of other games use names. I know First Touch used last names only, but then gave you editing options.

Looks awesome... So basically this is a modern interpretation is SWOS? I haven't played the original active soccer but I'll definitely keep my eye on this. Good luck with the development!

Btw. What game engine/platform do you use? Out of professional interest ;)

Yes it is basically a mix between SWOS and Kickoff 2 with updated game play and modern gfx

Do you plan to include the ability to playing portrait, like in Active Soccer?

I just realized I could play in portrait, and it's changing my life. It would be even better if the game would start up in portrait mode, but I'll take what I can get!

Do you mean the way the orientation changes when you turn your mobile device? The new release will be an improved version of the original, so this ability will no doubt be there again.

Personally I would like to see the ability to play from left to right instead of up and down the screen. And I don't mean the TV camera style of FIFA, but still the topdown view but then with the goals positioned on the left and right side of the screen.
Just like in Dino Dini's 'Goal!':

That is what I meant: the ability to hold the device in portrait and the screen rotate to accommodate that view.

I do also think going left to right while holding in landscape would make a lot of sense.

    Hi guys,
I confirm Active Soccer 2 will support both device orientations (portrait / landscape) and camera rotation (ala Goal!).

With the exception of FIFA, 99% of other mobile football games have no rights, they use real names illegally.
I could just don't care about laws and use real names without owning the rights, but it is something I would avoid.
The question is, are real names really so important? Shouldn't the real game be a more important part?
Maybe a quick team editor is the best option, so everyone can edit names as they wish,
