BLOO KID 2 will be out on the 6th of March 2014 for iOS! Hello everybody, I am happy to announce that we are currently working on the sequel for Bloo Kid, which will be coming out later this year for iPod/iPhone/iPad. We are happy to share as much information about the game as we can with you For those of you that are unfamiliar with the first game: Bloo Kid is a retro-one-screen-platforming-game that was released back in 2011. If you want to check it out, you can find it on the iOS store. Paid: https://itunes.apple.com/en/app/bloo-kid/id452677855?mt=8 Free: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/bloo-kid-free/id452701293?mt=8 Please note that the free version features ALL game content, the only difference between the two titles is that the paid version does not contain any ads. Here is the release trailer of BLOO KID 2! And here some early screenshots:
Looks great, love the graphics Bloo Kid 1 was good for a single screen platformer, i presume this has scrolling or multiple screens for levels ?
We are working on a lot of improvements for BLOO KID 2. A few examples: -Controls are revised -Many new enemies -Power Ups One of the biggest differences: You can earn stars in various ways. You can earn stars by stomping enemies like in the first game, but you can also earn stars for finishing a level quickly etc. We are planning to release some small video footage of actual gameplay next week. Once we have it, I will be posting it here
Love the first one, and am looking forward to the sequel. I won't lie, I'm hopeful this one will be a sidescroller.
We want to record something that gives you an indication of the final quality of the game. Please give us a few more days for that
First video of BLOO KID 2 is here! Hello! . I hope everybody has a nice weekend! Here is the first video footage of BLOO KID 2! It is a playthrough of one of the very early levels of the game. Our hope is to get some valuable feedback from you. So if you are wondering if it scrolls or not, please have a look:
So, weekend is drawing near and i plan to play tiny thief a lot tomorrow and the day after, so I am happy But before I go, some info about the status of BLOO KID 2! We are aiming for a release in Q4 2013 on iOS as a universal app with iCade Support. The first release will contain 3 worlds with 9 levels for each one (including boss battles), so we will have 27 levels at launch. All levels can be played in "easy", "medium" and "hard" difficulty mode. More levels will be added via game updates. World 1 is content complete now (including Level Design and Music/Sound). As always, there is still some polishing to be done and naturally, still some bugs are left to fix (no critical ones anymore, yay!). At the moment we are working on World 2 (new enemies and Level Design). Completing this second world will take another 3-4 weeks I assume.
In BLOO KID you had to stomp all enemies in order to finish a level. A lot of players considered that a "little flat" or "too repetitive". So in BLOO KID 2 every level has 6 goals to go for: 1. Catch the balloon! 2. Collect all stars! 3. Collect all (secret) blue stars! 4. Stomp all enemies! 5. Survive with full health! 6. Beat the clock!
iCade Support We've been asked by a lot of people if we can support iCade in BLOO KID 2, so I am happy to tell you that it has just now been implemented and it is working fine
We are preparing for Gamescom in Cologne next week where we hope to show the game to some people! But before that, here's our first screenshot for World 2. Hope you like it!
