yeah... even since my post... I'm getting more comfortable with them...

    Definitely gonna stick with it

BTW... what's Vic and C64? I see em on the GC boards, but not in the game... are they unlockable modes?

    Turn to landscape mode ;)
Clockwise for Vic, counter for C64 I believe.

And in case you didn't see it..when your iPod is in vertical mode, eithe tap or swipe (toward the bottom of the screen for me) to select the "casual mode" so you can continue from different stage checkpoints.

Try the expert controls and just persist. I like it much better after getting more used to it...but it be nice to have relative mode still. It sounds like for most llamasoft games you have to have to persist until the controls click.

yeah, I've tried both the portrait modes...

and with the expert controls, I think they're WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more touchy than the novice (or wahtever) controls... but right now, I'm getting more comfortable with the default controls, so I think changing them up now would just screw me all up. =oP

    thanks though! =oD

Lol..yeah, the first few times I tried expert controls I was zooming everywhere and dying. But I guess I was being a knucklehead and wanted to be an "expert" so I kept at it. I'm still not 100% comfortable with it..bt slowly getting there. Sounds like maybe enough bullet hell members have this now that we can hold a competition if people want to. ;)

Perfect. A real rush. My new favourite game! I have yet to try expert controls — I'm enjoying the very subtle movements needed in the new game.

In the classic version, the X/Y shooters are very mean!

You have already been told how to access them but in case you didn't know they are the earlier versions of Gridrunner, the Vic-20 and the Commodore 64. Vic-20 is my favorite of the two.

    Incredible. Incredible. Incredible.

THAT's some perfect gaming. Seriously, who need's all that new bling bling, when such a game is showing you that gameplay brings all the fun. This game is pure genius. I just love it. New fav, definitely.

Minter = iOS gameplay god. Period.

Have all of Minter's games, this is one of my favorites of his. Intense action, powerups, crazy sounds and visuals, everything I'd expect in a llamasoft game :)

Scores don't always get posted to GC for me. :(

Same with achievements not unlocking for me.

I'm having a blast with this game!! Just entered top 10 in casual mode :D

At first I had problem with controls but later in game when screen became a mess you realise that only tiny move matters.

My advice to all that have problem with controls would be... Don't play this game like you play Phoenix for example. Small moves are crutial latter in game

Got used to the faster pro controls pretty quickly. And they are really handy in the later levels where you have to zap from place to place in no time.

The off grid zappers are invulnerable, right?

How come you can't access gamecenter from within the app? Open feint sucks and is always offline.

Right. Big part of the challenge to always having an eye out for these two buddies.

Space giraffe would be awesome but I'd like their twisted take on my all time favorite Tempest.
