May hasn't exactly been the best month in iPhone gaming, but it has still had a few really good titles. So, what was your favorite game this month? Mine has to have been Assault Squadron, the best shoot em up so far on the App Store.
WOOT, you have got to be kidding me, the best game for the iPhone sp far was released in May? Skate it! And the best arcade racer was also released here in may! Crash bandicoot Nitro kart 2 If you don't have these games yet, get 'em now!
My vote goes for Splinter Cell: Conviction Skate it got boring after a while and it was too much of a pain to control
Here are some (but I agree, it hasn't been the best month): 1. Kometen (artsy space explorer) 2. PewPew2 (arcadey shooter, acclaimed sequel to an acclaimed game) 3. Pirate's treasure (yet another Chillingo dual stick)
Why do you even bother to ask?! Do you really think that any game released this month could actually rival Phoenix Wright?! HA! Definite Game of the Month, if not Game of the Year. My second and third places go to Zombie Infection and Bruce Lee: Dragon Warrior. Both are great games, but nothing compares to the amazingness that is Phoenix Wright.
I thought LASW came out a while back?..or am I wrong. And anyways, my vote goes to zombie infection. IMHO, the paragon of gameloft's performance.
Wait did L.A.S.W come out this month? Can I have two votes? If I can't have two votes I still have to go with Phoenix Wright... (Sorry Isotope244 I still love you!) EDIT: ok I just looked and L.A.S.W came out on May 7th... That felt like a good month ago to me lol.
I object to this! Evidence clearly shows that Phoenix Wright is a better game! I'm not knocking LASW, but Phoenix Wright is still the best game I've played on the platform. The only thing I think that could top it is if Metal Gear Solid was ported, and that's about it.
I'm with Somerandomdude, even though I'm a LASW evangelist. Phoenix Wright is the most engaging game I've played since Silent Hill 2 (even though, of course, they're nothing alike). Frankly, I can't imagine why anyone is disappointed with May. We had some amazing surprises (Crash Bandicoot 2, anyone? And Bruce Lee, to boot. ). Any month that brings one of the best fighting games, the best kart racer, one of the best action/adventure games, the best RTS, and a DS classic is pretty darn good in my book.
Hmm the only thing that is missing is the best TBS (if they would port it I would say it would be Galactic Civ II.... hint hint...)
LASW? What does that mean? I think April stole most of the good games out of May. I liked the Gameloft promotion, but none of those games came out in May. Same goes for the rerelease of EDGE, which I was finally able to buy, but that's an old game too. The only May game I actually played was Phoenix Spirit, so that's GOTM for me.
Hmm... I would say Steamballs since 180 came out just at the end of April. But Phoenix Spirit is also a great choice.
Land Air Sea Warfare ( LASW) is GOTM for me and as far as I am concern GOTY. Ace attorney is awesome but I already played it for the DS and don't see the need to play it again on my iphone. I just feel sad that TA is still not giving LASW any love, they just featured another ragdoll game in the front page
All you guys really seem to like LASW... If I wasn't broke, I'd probably give it a shot. That, and the fact that I can never get into RTS's much, aside from maybe Armada (which didn't that also come out this month? Great game too). I tried Red Conquest and couldn't get a hang of it, so do you think I'd like LASW?
