Rather Odd Computing is pleased to present CROAK!

“Eat Flies. Dodge Snakes. Make Tadpoles. This is the meaning of life”
    – Wisdom of frog Zen master

    Easy, right?

Pshaw! A frog’s life should be so simple!

It’s a tree frog frenzy as players lead one of six stunningly beautiful frogs (based on actual species) through a series of gorgeously rendered exotic environments. Eat flies, fireflies, cicadas, grasshoppers and more as you avoid snakes, chameleons, and even a hungry lemur!

CROAK! will be released with both FULL (only $0.99) and LITE versions (unlimited play but limited to a single frog and snake species and a single environment) .

    Coming in August 2010!!

How will I ever decide between this and Pocket Frogs?

Can't help but wonder if the animation matches the awesomeness of the graphics... how long till we can see a gameplay video?

Should have something up within the week. The Lite version is done now and we're just putting the final touches on the Full version. We'll post a video as soon as the Full version is done.

We're only a two person team so it can be a little slow going but the aim is to upload the binaries to Apple within the next two weeks. So far we're well on track to meet that goal.

Speaking of videos, any of you guys have any tips on the best way to capture a high quality video? In the past we've been using the 'mounted digi-camera with natural lighting and just recording live' setup, with OK results, but is there a better way to do it?

Still open to suggestions however :)
