What are the best RPGs, simulations and rts for ios? I have an iPhone 4s and I enjoyed playing Dungeon Hunter 2 and Orc Vengeance. I am also currently having fun playing Galaxy on Fire 2 HD. Can anyone recommend games like those listed above? Thank you
Well chillingo released the gods which if you liked Orc:vengeance then you will love it. If you liked GOF then phantasy prelude would be good for you but has more in app purchases.
Slightly similar to Dungeon Hunter and Orc you might consider Aurum Blade (which is free) or CrimsonHeart; both are isometric action KRPG style hack 'n slash. Devil May Cry Refrain also has a similar mechanic but gets stale quickly. Underworlds is another older legacy app that gets compared to Diablo; it has a free lite edition to try. Acheron Prime is another game similar to Galaxy of Fire 2 to consider.
Devil may cry? Might as well get monster hunter... Get undercroft(free) and questlord and thank me later
If you like old RPG's like Wizardry or the original Bard's Tale games then you should check out Silversword. You can customize your entire teams race and class.
DarkGate Chaos Rings titles FF titles 100 Rogues Fargoal The World Ends With You Bastion Ravensword 2 Battleheart sefirah Fantasy Adventure Shellrazer EDIT: Oh forgot Shellrazer... added to list
Too true, too true. I just prefer Silverswords file size, cost, and universal build. Not to mention Silverswords developer supports the game with updates and good communication here on the forums. So I always try to support these types of games and their developers more.
Well, it's more action/adventure platformer than RPG, but yeah, the game is tops. Kinda like how Zelda wasnt an RPG, but was generally thought so.
In terms of taking the most advantage of the benefits provided by the iOS touch screen interface, I'd easily put both "Squids" games amongst the best RPGs on the App Store. Add to that the gorgeous art and soundtrack and adorable characters, and my reply begins to read like the back of a game box. Both are of the SRPG persuasion, if that matters.
I kinda liked Gamevil's Zenonia series not customizable and definitely not in depth play but it had a fun story and some interesting game play, although Hack n' Slashish.
The first Zenonia was awesome. The second somewhat ok. The rest are greedpools and just more of the same.
Spectral souls if you like strategy rpgs, anythng from Spiderweb Software, dragron frane odyssey or Wizardry ( one of my favorites even on having to play on 2x mode).
