Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel More info at www.runfoxrun.com Hi, I'm the developer for the game Run Fox Run. You may remember that I held a beta here just a month ago. Well the beta testers did a fantastic job and I'm happy to announce that the game is finally getting submitted to Apple for approval shortly so you can expect it on the App Store soon! You can follow the game's status on Twitter: @runfoxruniphone Some of the game's interesting features: "Almost one button” arcade platformer with an intuitive control scheme Four worlds with unique and completely different art styles Procedurally generated levels so the game is never played the same way! Mini-games! Menus and credits shouldn’t be boring. They should be playable!
This is a great game indeed! Had a lot of fun beta testing. Especially like that there are many varied achievements, and that there is a lot of variety in the game, both in graphics, music and gameplay. You can go for a perfect run, or you can do the endless game and compete on the leaderboard, or play a mini game. Somehow it doesn't get boring like these games sometimes do for me. Recommended to fans of fast paced platformers/runners.
This looks REALLY good!! Im subscribing to this thread I am a developer too. I think we could work together sometime, because the game engine is really good =) yep, Im an indie dev but i have a team designer =)
It was a blast having everyone beta test Endless mode and competing for high scores. And I'm flattered that places like iFanzine are calling it very addictive.
So there I was just minding my own business and sleeping under a tree when I heard a noise. "What the heck is that?", I thought as I noticed some strange glowing enigmatic force in the distance. "It looks as though I can jump inside.. here goes nothing!".
Congrats on the submission. Now you need to think about promotion to the major sites. Written previews, trailers, review builds, etc. Toucharcade, Appspy, TheGameTrail, Pocketgamer, 148apps, SlideToPlay, IGN Wireless, TheAppera, Touchaholics, Touchgen, Gametrailers etc are all sites you should hit up at the very least before release.
Thanks for the advice, arta. I'll check out all the mentioned sites and try my best to get their attention. At the moment, I'm just impatiently waiting for iTunes Connect to move forward from "Waiting for Review", though perhaps I'm just paranoid since it's my first app submission.
Got tired of waiting so spent the weekend programming. Almost done the first update and I'm happy to say Game Center support is now working! I know certain beta testers will be happy to hear this.
