Along with the aforementioned Game Center integration, I'd love to see audio options (mute music but keep sound effects) added to this already excellent game. Thanks to the developer for considering this and for creating this gem.
So true. This is a great game, really well put together, and I particularly like the music - quite exceptional.
I just submitted the newest version of jtpck to Apple for approval today! Lots of new stuff and bugfixes. It *should* be up in several days! Here's nice list to sum up version 1.1.0: - FULL Game Center support - 12 new characters - Totally revamped day/night mechanic - Unique environment backgrounds - Customized character colors - A new level featuring music by Topki - A store to buy various new powerups/abilities with coins you've earned - New obstacles and level-specific enemies - Collectable gems - Hats! - Improved touch support/size of buttons - Fixed a huge memory leak - 10 new achievements - Righty/lefty hand support - Ability to skip the tutorial Thanks for all the support and positive feedback, everyone! What a great experience it has been developing iOS games so far.
Wow, that was fast! Looks like an awesome update. I'm sure a lot of people, including myself, will be very happy to see that Game Center support So are the achievements also going to be Game Center? Or are you keeping those strictly within the game itself?
Thank you for the update, which sounds fantastic! Looking forward to seeing how I rank against against others! And call me crazy, but I think I prefer this game over the also excellent Time Surfer.. Thanks again, eagerly awaiting the update!
One question - does the right/left support coming in the update mean that you're moving the pause button? On my iPad it's exactly where I would prefer to touch the screen with my left thumb. If possible, at some point, please could the pause button be moved to the top of the screen, if that isn't happening in this update? Thanks. And - great game!
Ah, that's something I meant to request, actually. I've experienced many a-time where I unintentionally paused the game because that's where my thumb gravitates to in games like this. Ever since Jetpack Joyride!
Left hand mode means the pause button will be on the right side, and vise versa. In the next version I'll move it to the top of the screen (I might have to change the HUD for it to fit, though). And thank you!
I'm liking this more and more. Sometimes I think that now I really am tired of endless runners/flyers, and then something like this has me hooked again. I usually play with sound on, but not loud, but I forgot to turn the sound down when I played just now and it was great. The music fits the game perfectly. I like the different modes, the characters, the fact that that it has no consumable IAP, well, everything
I've got to thank Gabrien! If not for this thread I would've never discovered this little gem. Simple, fast and addictive. And NO IAP! Almost unheard of these days.
