One parking lot. No Escape. How long would you last? Pako is a mobile game by Tree Men Games. Available soon on iOS, Android and Windows Phone 8 with global cross platform high score list! PAKO Trailer iPad Mini Gameplay video Visit us at: http://www.facebook.com/pakoTMG or twitter.com/treemengames
Art looks sick and the game looks real fun! Especially to those who still enjoy playing the first and second GTA Is the vintage-looking grain in the trailer also in the game or was that an effect? Edit: Never mind my question, just saw the gameplay trailer and the grain ain't there Would still love to have the option to play it filtered with grain
Well, some effects are still considered but instead of film grain we might go for vhs/old tv look on later upadates. Btw, Windows Phone 8 version is out now, and its free. iOS takes bit longer but not much.
Cemetary poster Introducing the looks of a cemetery map in the first post. We have had pretty good feedback on the Windows Phone 8 with just one map but for iOS we will include more maps for the launch. So stay tuned!
The gameplay video is now updated from the latest build with some new physics. Parked cars now break and explode etc.
1) Love the soundtrack 2) Will there be IAP to remove ads? 3) Is the only progression dealing with more police cars? Would interesting if there were random events, like someone backing out of a spot in the lot or a bus driving around, etc.
The ads are there just for trying the system and I didn't remember to remove them. So the ads thing is still bit open. The concept is to have new levels with a new car/vehicle. First levels are just normal driving but later ones will have some kind of twists to gameplay. Stay tuned as we will reveal those maps. The soundtrack is made by DKSTR, who is also responsible for the graphics. Here is more tunes he made for our other game: http://dkstr.bandcamp.com
Played the accidental release, really liking what's there so far. The physics feel loose but in a good way, like you're half in control, half barely in control. Adds to the intensity of the evasion. I like the art style and newscast style UI
So this happened: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=231873 We made the game unavailable but people we quick enough to make videos and stuff, nice to see that our game got that much interest in a short time. But anyways, here is a wip picture of another map with a new car.
PAKO took the second place at this weeks Big Indie Pitch event held at Pocket Gamers Helsinki Connects conference. AG Drive was the winner and Mucho Party which was released today for iOS came third. There is going to be Twitch in 30 minutes about the event and they are showing AG Drive and some of the top games. Lets see if we are there. http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/iPhone/Twitch+news/news.asp?c=60168
Sorry that I am constantly bumping this thread but heres a gameplay/interview video about the game, with two new levels. Those are still WIP so we might add some minor changes to car physics etc. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDced_GWCJs We also made a decision that we are going to sell PAKO as a premium paid game including five levels/maps.
Release day set! Hi again, we could not release PAKO during last month as the original plan was. However the game has now passed the AppStore qualification and is going to be released next thursday, 14th of August. The price is going to be 1.99, but we are having a -50% launch sale so for a limited time you can get the game for 0.99 Trailer including all the five levels coming next week!
