There are too many constant jump-scares in Slenderman games and similar for me to really get into. Here there's enough to maintain a continued state of anxiety and when the scares do happen, they are that much more memorable. It's like in The Woods, I could have done with just the lethal ghosts whereas that other guy that would pop up constantly made it a bit much.
