Just while we're on the topic, is Gangstar even worth getting anymore? I already have GTA, so don't tell me to just go get that, which I would do if I didn't have it, but I kinda miss the behind-the-back camera. I don't have any complaints about the bird's-eye camera, but I just want a good behind the back camera GTA clone, and so far Gangstar seems to be the way to go for what I'm looking for. So simply put, is it even worth it anymore, even for the camera? Or should I just pass and wait for Gangstar 2?
I like it a lot. I'm not a fan of the Birds eye view so I like gangstar more than what I've played of GTA (tried the lite version). I say get it but I'm not sure if you'll like it. I like to just go around and shoot people so I'm not sure about the missions really.
Gangstar is a decent game, but it a lot of the mechanics are kind of weak. Driving works, but the car's just act weird sometimes. The story is kind of repetitive and REALLY generic. I definitely enjoyed GTA much more than Gangstar.
Just a few things: How's car variety? It seemed pretty small in the lite. How many guns are there? Are all of them in the lite? Is the cop system really that broken? Half the fun of any GTA clone is avoiding/killing the cops, and trying to survive the onslaught, and half of what I like to do in Chinatown Wars.
Yes the lite includes all the cars and weapos available in gangstar, which is indeed pretty limited. The police are pretty retarded yeah. However, I still like it, and I admit I've played it more than CTW. The birds eye view really does get kinda eh.
Oh man... that's it? It's not bad for the time, but after playing GTA, it just seems like it's not enough. Last thing: Compared to the lite version of Gangstar and the full version of GTA, how's the map size?
There are 6 guns. Car variety is shallow, but it gets the job done. All the basics are present Cop system is easy to track. As soon as you kill 3 people, the cops will appear. As many as 6 can be chasing you at one time. The easiest way to avoid them is to drive into the water, where they cannot chase you. Eventually, you will decrease your Wanted Level
Back to the subject of the thread... , Ravensword is semi-freeroam. Xenome, which should be coming in the next few weeks, is a fully freeroam Sci-Fi RPG. And around September or so which should be getting Aralon, a fully freeroam fantasy-based RPG.
Oh yeah... Aralon... Awesome, awesome game. Definitely worth picking up. Forget Ravensword (which I enjoyed), Aralon is better.
Xenome seems like it will be a good game. Aralon I hope will be epic. I think it will be from following what beta testers have said. I guess I'll have to play xenome till aralon comes out by the way in gta lite is it the full map?
Especially after the folks from Crescent Moon (who created Ravensword) are through with it . I'm strictly talking as an immersive, freeroam experience; gameplay-wise, Aralon has been awesome from the beginning. Can't say anything else about Xenome, since I'm under an NDA.
