Always wondered about this game and all the hubbub surrounding it, but the difficulty kind of made me question getting it. Well, I got it now and....I'm going to be addicted. That is all. Think it may be the first time it's ever been on sale. (Looked it up...it released at $.99 but has been $2.99 ever since). Gonna have to go look at youtube. AppealPlay Well-Known Member Nov 17, 2012 51 0 0 USA #3 AppealPlay, Dec 14, 2012 I love this game. Like most people my life is very hectic so I can't always spare ten minutes for a quick game. If you're good at Super Hexagon you might last 90 seconds. It's a good way to kill time waiting in line. defred34 Well-Known Member Aug 27, 2012 1,408 0 0 Earth #4 defred34, Dec 14, 2012 Here's hoping the game comes to Android soon enough! killerkat68 Well-Known Member Jun 13, 2012 90 0 0 #5 killerkat68, Dec 14, 2012 If you want to try the game, I think there is an online version. ninjackid Well-Known Member May 27, 2010 9,380 2 38 #6 ninjackid, Dec 14, 2012 Yeah, heard a lot about this one... Couldn't even break 10 seconds in my first 10 games. Wowzers. This game is weird, terrible graphics - not precise controls, but it is somewhat addictive like a drug. Gotta play it a little more to see whether I grow to love it or get frustrated. Will post after I play a little more... Think like a ponos, Mr. Type game. Fast, frantic and kind of insane. Everyone seems to love it, but I'm puzzled by what it actually is. Evilkarma Well-Known Member Dec 20, 2011 199 0 0 Canada #10 Evilkarma, Dec 14, 2012 Just bought it. Got $50 gift card a week ago so for a dollar I'll try it. But I'm either deleting this or putting a ton of practice into the game. Because you'll either be one or the other. Basically you control a tiny triangle around a hexagon that spins left and right in the middle of the screen. As that happens, you have these lines and objects coming inwards to the hexagon and you have to move the triangle to the openings and make sure it never touches anything. You control the triangles left/right movements by holding a left/right arrow. I just played 10 games. Lasted 18 seconds. It's a bit hyped imo. Not a particularly exciting game, just insanely difficult. If you're one to easily give up and hate being frustrated by games, then take a pass on this one. Acceleroto Well-Known Member Aug 3, 2008 288 0 0 http://www.acceleroto.com #11 Acceleroto, Dec 14, 2012 Love, love, love Super Hexagon. It's a super fast-paced tunnel/maze game. The hexagons you see in the screenshots zoom in towards the middle and you have to dodge them (kinda like walls closing in on you). It's super tough - a total hard core gamer's game. Your first game will probably last about 3 seconds. After playing for hours, you might be able to last 60 seconds. If you like a challenge, it's awesome. Connector Well-Known Member May 6, 2012 15,512 1 0 In the Chatroom http://thechatroom.freeforums.net/ #13 Connector, Dec 14, 2012 Well, it is really really hard, and I can only last between 10-15 seconds. I can't even last 20 seconds even after trying it close to 69 times. But it is addicting when you make it into the right holes. And I'm not talking about sex either!!! I loaded it on my iphone 4 to see how it compared to my ipad, there were 2 things I noticed. The controls on the ipad version are a little jerky. The iphone version controls much better making the game easier to control. The playing area is so much bigger on the ipad. It looks so much better and has a better musical visualization look to it. Score wise, the iphone version, I can score better. But it is funner on my new ipad. It didn't stay on my iphone. This is one of those games I could see being really addictive to some people. The music is great, it has a music visualizer vibe to it with pounding techno type Music. Gameplay wise, it is kind of like a Ponos game like Mr. Space where the action is fast and frantic. Controls like a motion game where you are trying to evade walls. Some players might become frustrated by the hardness lf this game. For some reason, this game had a hard, harder, and hardest difficulty settings. I wonder why there are no normal or easy settings, but some might love this level of hardness. This game really needs a newer version with ipad retina graphics and tighter controls. It is an original game and with many endless runner clones or angry birds clones, I am surprised no one has made a modern version of this game, cause it would be awesome. I find the game fun, would I buy it for a buck if I had to do it again? Yeah, I would, even with the poor graphics, jittery controls, and hard difficulty level; it had a lot of redeeming qualitied such as fun factor, a challenge, is addictive, cool music, and original. I would have no problems recommending this to anyone. Love the music and visualizer effects. Wish you could play your own music like beat hazard. We really need a super hexagon 2 with ipad retina graphics, that would rock big time. Still can't believe I can't break the 20 second barrier yet. Highest I got so far was like 18.77 seconds. Can't believe I'm playing a game which is so short, but it is addictive and you do get better. Cool little game ninjackid Well-Known Member May 27, 2010 9,380 2 38 #19 ninjackid, Dec 14, 2012 Ha! I wasn't sold based on descriptions, and to does take a few goes to sink in, but then it's got the same ultra difficult urgency of something like Super Crate Box of Hotline Miami (my GOTY for PC, maybe).
