Don't rip on android BTW, there is a fruit ninja (by halfbrick) on the market. Also, these types of things are inevitable considering that Android has a lot less support for gaming compared to iOS.
Why post this here? This is an iOS gaming board. I have nothing against Android, but hearing it's getting quickie clones of some iOS games doesn't exactly make me want to run out and buy an Android device. iOS and Apple piss me off badly sometimes (i.e. iTunes is such badly programmed crap) but Android still can't match iOS in overall experience IMO.
Yes it is! See, it has islands and everything! Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel lol
I won't play these rip-offs on Android for sure. Can these guys just create some their own new games?
As long as you got permission, I am OK with it. Maybe you can make your game for the ipod too. A little competition never hurts.
Wow,if this is true, then thanks and appreciations woud be given to it! Then many other users can touch the littlie bird with tiny wings now!
I think the point here is yes this may be a rip off of Tiny wings but as that game is not being made for the Android Market I see no problem in it as it's not going in direct competition to it . As someone who owns an iPod touch , IPad and an Android based phone I'm happy to see these games made . As for ppl saying that Android gaming is nowhere near as good you would be surprised as to how quick it's catching up the main reason is the hardware is beginning to overtake the iPhone because of the fact they are being made by different companies trying too out do each other to bring out the next best phone .
So why a Tiny Wings game has to get two versions? If it needs to be on Android, then just place the same one as that on iOS. I don't like playing one Tiny Wings on iPhone and then playing another a little different one on Android.
I have to say that the characters make a little more sense in this version. Everything else looks much more crappy, but it could be a nice game for android owners nonetheless.
The problem there is that there are so many variations that it's pretty much impossible to optimize for all of them, therefore all that hardware is likely to go to waste for the most part. Plus Apple keeps beating the competition anyway. See the iPad 2, which blows the Motorolla Xoom out of the water and costs less doing it.
