The winners of last week's Game of the Week poll in… First Place: Level 22 (8 votes) Second Place [tie]: The Cave (5 votes) Third Place [tie]: Pandemic: The Board Game [iPad Only] (5 votes) Last week's thread: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=205699 The first part is nomination where every member can vote up to 5 games to be included in the poll. Releases active before Saturday are eligible, weekend releases can be nominated the following poll. 10 games with the most nominations will then be added to the poll on Sunday. Poll will remain open until next Wednesday and whichever game has the max votes, will be Touch Arcade forum's Game of the Week. Please note: 1) Developers, publishing partners, or affiliates cannot vote for their own games. If your game is in the poll, you can't vote. You are free to ask TA forum posters in your game release thread to vote for your game... but please don't post multiple messages about it. 2) This voting is for TA members - no outsiders allowed. If you have to ask someone to create a new account to vote, you're doing it wrong. 3) Suspect votes may be void. Notice of this poll will be given in the threads of all nominated games. You can see new games by looking at AppShopper.com and checking the "New" tab. http://appshopper.com/games/new/ 10 Thread Video AdvenChewers Thread Video Costume Quest Thread Dragon’s Lair 30th Anniversary Thread Drift Mania: Street Outlaws Thread Video Duet Game Thread Video EMPIRE: The Deck Building Strategy Game Thread Video Escape From Doom Thread Kami Thread Video Kingturn Underworld RPG Thread Monster Adventures Thread Video The Night Squid Apocalypse Thread Rakoo’s Adventure Thread Video Random Runners Thread Video Ring Run Circus Thread Video Rollabear Thread Video Spellcaster: Forgotten Spell Thread Video Steampunk Tower Thread Video Type:Rider Thread Video RPG Warlord Revival Thread Credit to EchoSeven, the normal GOTW originator.
Early thoughts for my nominations, this is a great week for releases: Costume Quest Warlord Revival Kingturn Underworld Rollabear Empire: The Deck Building Strategy Game
Type:Rider Duet Monster Adventures I have no idea how I'm going to choose between Type and Duet. Type:Rider has the style and atmosphere but Duet is just so fun, well designed, and challenging.
My top three vying for a vote are: Monster Adventures Type.Rider Rollabear Also will throw in 10, a nice little puzzler.
I hope more people start participating in this poll again. It's really, really been slow voting, even with some great games. Level 22 winning with just 8 votes (not diminishing it's win, I've heard it's awesome and do plan on picking it up myself)? Where are the days when it may be as many as 50+ votes for a winner?
I agree. Seeing second and third place winngers get only 5 votes seems trivial and not necessarily representative. When I have time and feel like it I post an announcement in the threads of nominated films linking back to the poll and didn't do so last week so hopefully that will help when I resume. My opinion (subject to debate) has been that the past few weeks haven't had that many stellar releases so maybe that contributed to lower participation.
I'm new here and was shocked at how few votes some of the games got considering the amount of posts the game threads get, I thought vote counts would be much higher. I'll be voting each week from now though
My noms: Type:Rider Monster Adventures Rakoo's Adventure <--- I hope this gets more attention Costume Quest EDIT: Adding Costume Quest... coz it's friggin gooood.
