Hi - this is the first thread I've started, though I've lurked in the forum for ages! Hi all... So I was never really into portable gaming before getting the iPod touch (except for a small addiction to a phone version of Spore - the iPod version is a horrible disappointment by comparison, imo ) The games I've really loved are those with simple but beautifully-stylised, arty graphics, and a perhaps an element of abstract/innovative gameplay. I know that's a bit of a nothingy description and it's subjective anyway, but for me it's things like: - Geodefense (+Swarm) - Edge - Galcon - Unify - Eliss - Canabalt - Zen Bound I wonder if there are any hidden gems I might've missed that are in the same kind of ball park, that have a really strong design element to them.. On the whole I can't bear games which use the accelerometer or a virtual d-pad (my worst!) as their primary control however much I want to love them... Toodles...
I would second this. One of the most polished and stylized games I've played, though it does use the accelerometer...
Squareball, Lunarcy and Mr. Bounce. Some people aren't into retro graphics, but for those of us who are, these three games pull it off exquisitely.
