I held out on getting this game after getting FTL, and it looks like it paid off, as it looks like this game is is already on sale. I've been meaning to get this game, but at two bucks, all the more reason to jump the fence. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id799471892?mt=8

And it came out quite a while before ftl, I bought this straight away and it killed some time while waiting for ftl to come out. While there are definte similarities between FTL & Out There, they are very different games at heart. While they are both space based, rogue-likes that have you captain your own ship, Out There is basically combat free, and much more about exploration and the isolation of space. In FTL, combat is at the heart of the game, and space has never been more crowded. Laenor Well-Known Member Apr 11, 2013 357 56 28 Paris, France #10 Laenor, May 25, 2014 Get both Ftl and Out There. Definately get Out There - very different experience than Ftl and a great game. Empfmil Well-Known Member Aug 23, 2012 76 0 0 #11 Empfmil, May 25, 2014 Get this! Often, you just run out of fuel/oxygen, because you don't find the needed ressource quickly enough. You always need a lucky run in the beginning to progress further. I was going to get Out There at full price, regardless. The sale just happened to be coincidental.
