A rather new ipad game; if your using the TA app you'll notice it in the "What's Hot" section. I've heard it's short, but, for a buck, I honestly prefer a short jaunt if the alternative is 99 cent grindfest that takes 200 hours to complete without iaps...which nearly always cost more than a solid game to begin with. I've got too many of those. Just bought it. If someone cares to add the link, feel free.

You must buy this immediately. Even if it means you can't afford underwear next week, buy this game. Even if it means that your mom yells at you, buy this game. (But find 99 cents in the couch cushions to pay her back, of course). Ku is great. It's worth the $4 I paid for it, and it's definitely worth it for $1. Go go! (Can I be any more exclamatory here?) leonard_dabinski Well-Known Member Jan 7, 2013 244 0 0 #4 leonard_dabinski, Jan 14, 2013 Wow, that stung me. A few days ago, it got released. I bought it for 4 friggin bucks. And now it is $1? No offence, I am not saying the game ain;t worth 4 bucks. But I don't see the logic here. The better (and honorable) thing to do was launch it at a buck then increase the price. The way I look at it, the devs didn't get enough money from the first couple of days and want more so the discount the game by a huge 75%. Shameful and shameless antics from them. But given the amount of ridiculously low-priced ($1 or FREE) games we snag, the occasional price drop in the other direction shouldn't sting too much? And don't be too quick to blame bitSmith. They're first time iOS developers, not some big money hungry studio laughing that they "got you". They're still learning what works, and trying some different tactics. I agree that they should have started at a buck for a limited time, and then raised the price, but I'm pretty sure if you sent them a PM they'd refund the price diff for you. In any case, the game is worth the $4 we paid. All 10 of us who bought it helped them afford maybe be team lunch, nothing more. They deserve the chance to try to raise their sales, and I support them in that effort! leonard_dabinski Well-Known Member Jan 7, 2013 244 0 0 #6 leonard_dabinski, Jan 14, 2013 I recall reading JUST A FEW HOURS AGO that they said the game won't be put on sale. If you purchase a game at a particular price, make sure it's worth that to you when you buy it. Either that, or put it on your watch list and play other games while waiting and hoping there will be a sale. To me, it's that simple. Sure, I often thought "hey, that's unfair," until I have realized that these people spend countless hours developing these things just for them to get lost in the appstore abyss. They priced their game at a point they believed it was worth, and most likely, it didn't work out - how can you blame them for trying to stay afloat? For the amount of games I'm sure you've gotten on sale / for free I'm sure you'll end up not losing too much. The price dropped the equivalent of one cup of coffee. Why complain? Oh, that's right. That's what you came to these forums to do. In just about every post you've made. Congratulations on finding something else to whine about. bitSmithGames Member Jan 10, 2013 5 0 0 #20 bitSmithGames, Jan 14, 2013 This is precisely it. We're sorry that people feel ripped off, it's completely understandable. On the flip side though, some people are delighted to pick up a bargain (hopefully ) We were in the US store as new & noteworthy, but that wasn't translating to solid sales, so we had to do something. This isn't going to be the price forever; but we realised something pretty quick: you only get one shot on the app store! It was either discount heavily, or drop off the face of the planet. For good. We've been slaving over this game for a year and a half for peanuts, if we could rewind to launch day, yes we would start off at the discount price. We've learnt our lesson. Please understand that this is our first game, and the last thing we want to do is annoy people; but we want to keep making games! We're super stoked that people are playing it and enjoying it! ps. sorry about the edited post - that was a miscommunication between ourselves! (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
