who says it can't be done if there is too many animations ? got any proof ? have plenty of games with tons of animations and works just fine. if you have the right stuff and talent.
Look at the real ingame trailer and then the teaser. The ipad2 2 still has a large limit on hardware. Nice graphics can be done, but you need to choose...apparantly trendyent left the animated biological stuff between buildings unanimated. You cant use 1024mb of memory when the ipad2 has 512
You're probably right... Who knows, how the final product will turn out. They're on the right track. The video on page one looks almost if not better than some 360 launch titles... I'm spellbound. The 360 only has 512 mb or ram, too.
Well... It was good while it lasted? You probably have nothing to announce, then. I wonder if this was going to be a surprise unveiling at Apple's September keynote? Or just a work in progress... Either way, you've got our attention.
I've already sent Taytay a PM, but I'd like to ask everyone not to re-post that specific video. Since it leaked we will be re-recording and re-posting a cleaner version ASAP (i.e. later today) that's not taken with an SLR so you don't have the pixelation that is going on in that video.
This was the first post in the thread. You're late to the game. Apparently, this wasn't supposed to be shown. Hopefully, Trendy doesn't have it also removed. If anything, it's better to leave it, start hyping interest and talk to press outlets. That's the best way to be successful, early on. In the video they talk about online and upgrades, hopefully it works more like a premium Gameloft game. Less like an IAP farmville type of game. If it's like the latter, my interest is killed and I won't bother to try it no matter how pretty. I'd rather pay a premium 19.99+ upfront and enjoy the entire game, than be forced to pony up more and more cash to enjoy a game. Kind of like console games, 60.00 buys the entire game...then there's dlc if you want it. I HATE how many games are going free to play. Dungeon Defenders, had a good thing going. Then they re-worked everything to become a cash sink, if you wanted to play the game long haul. More companies should just do what EA did with DeadSpace or Epic, with Infinity Blade. Where you could play the game and enjoy it fully without ever having toponym up more than an initial price. Long story short, charge a higher premium entry price - cut out the gimmicks to get players to play. If the game is good it will sell.
Very EXCITED to see the cleaner video of the game, you guys are my mobile champions right now. Please, let this game be great without IAP... Have a premium version (30.00$ gets you a full version that will never need IAP) and basic a (10.00$ gets you the version that will) - kind of like games, and their lite version. I'd fork over the 30.00 instantly. Kudos on what your team is doing here. Looks stellar! If it's coming over to android also, will the iPad 2 version suffer? Since it's far more powerful than the Tegra, will the iPad 2 version be held back from full power to compensate for the lower spec'd Tegra 2?
Will this game be online only? I'd love to use this game to show people, what iPad 2 can do...and of course recommend the game. I don't always have Internet, when out an about. Hopefully there is an offline mode.
Hopefully it'll iPad 2 and iPhone 5 only. I'd not like to see the game gimped visually Of Course this is only my opinion, lol not based on anything official from the developers.
Trendy can you give us any details? I saw in the unreal forums that this project is atleast 6-7 months into development
Here's a newer better version of the Afterlife trailer which was leaked earlier today. Knowing we couldn't fight the tubes, we tried to take a slightly better recording for today and threw in some direct feed footage of our enemies with a temp-title sequence at the end. All of this is very rough, as it wasn't meant for public release. Especially the UI, which was created in under an hour for this mobile tech demo... Anyways, hope you enjoy: Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
Wonderful! Even the trash bags in the alley look amazing. I love the reflective mapping apparent on even the slightest of alleyway debris... You guys rock.
