    Contest!

Toucharcaders, create a level for Smuggle Truck using our drop dead simple level editor. Submit it for big prizes!

Anyone can enter and it's easy to create a level right in your browser

That’s right, we’re releasing a level editor for a game that’s not out yet! Smuggle Truck will be out in March, 2010 for iPhone and iPad. Create a level *Today* using our fancy-shmancy level editor and you can win some sweet prizes.

    How do I enter?
Just head to our PLAYABLE DEMO on Kongregate and get crackin’. You can play one of our sample levels or create your own epic level to enter in the contest.

What do all of these buttons do?
We’ve created a level editor video walkthrough to help players learn the tool. It’s only 60 seconds, so check it out.

    What can I win?
We will be awarding prizes to 10 winners, including 5 Silver Prize winners, 4 Gold Prize winners, and one Grand Prize winner. Each group gets different swag.

    When does the contest end?
    February 21st at midnight EST

Where do I hear about the winners and get reminded when the actual game is released?
Just type your email address in the box in the upper right of the Owlchemy site and you’ll be notified when the winners are chosen and when the game comes out!

    Feature alert!
You can share your levels with anyone!

Just submit your level like Crex and hamster did, then go back to the menu and click Share Level. Just copy that url and paste it right in this thread, and anyone can play your level by visiting that URL.

    Simple as that :)

First person to post their level URL here wins a virtual high five.

FYI, this level editor will actually be *included* in the iPad version of the game, allowing you to make and share your levels right on the device!

We encountered a bug with copying text inside Unity before, but it was only in OSX and with Chrome. I just tested copying (using Ctrl-C) with IE8, in WinXP and it worked. Could you detail more about your setup? (Windows version and IE version?)

Also, if you're unable to copy it, you could just type out the 6-digit code. The bug is partially on Unity but mostly on the web browser, so it's hard to work around.

Quick update, we've added 5 new obstacles to the editor.

1.) Circular log: Static log, building block.
2.) Circular log with gravity: It will roll ;) Be creative!
3.) Wooden plank: Static wooden plank, building block for making ramps and wood structures
4.) Wooden crate box: Static box, building block.
5.) Wooden crate box with gravity: It will tumble and fall ;) Again, be creative!

Enjoy! I can't wait to see what kind of crazy levels can be made with these few additions.

Also, we're extending the level design contest another week! It now ends on Monday night, the 28th.

i had some great ideas with the rolling log but there so frustrating to edit. if i change the size 90% of the time they start moving off the screen. Also if they start rolling theres no way to stop them in edit mode which can be really annoying.

Yeah, I can see that. We're going to work on making it so gravity-affected items only 'activate' once you get into play mode. That would probably solve all of your issues.

The new update is live. Physics objects now stay static until you hit play, so no more logs rolling away from you!
