You lose the portability of the iPhone. Why waste money playing glorified mobile games when you can get a laptop and play real pc games? txag2005 Well-Known Member Jan 24, 2010 820 0 0 #9 txag2005, Apr 2, 2010 World at War and Modern Warfare 2 are on the PC. Both have way more than 2 maps. Flying-Jew Member Mar 25, 2010 21 0 0 #10 Flying-Jew, Apr 2, 2010 Problem is, no worthy gaming laptop will be 0.5'' thin (or even 2'') and weigh 1.5 pounds. I agree glorified mobile games aren't the answer. Wait a few months to see the iPad's hardware fully realized. I'd be pretty upset if my 3gs gets left on the back burner in the graphics department txag2005 Well-Known Member Jan 24, 2010 820 0 0 #12 txag2005, Apr 2, 2010 Until the big game developers look at iDevices as legitimate gaming devices, they will continue to develop mobile quality games. Look at the games EA Mobile puts out compared to their products on the home console and DS/PSP. That is not going to change with the iPad. Maybe not like MW2 or BFBC2 or anything but can play Battlefield 2 no lag which is as good as the ipad graphics or better for half the price. Maybe when the price is lower for the ipad (say $400) and there a 2g version ill get it. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
