App info is currently processing and/or the app is not yet fully available for sale on the US App Store.

VLC has been pulled, so hurry up with this one. ;)

I just went to iTunes, clicked on my iPod, clicks 'Apps' clicked on Anyplayer, clicked on an .avi, it transfered over, and it plays (I played about 20 seconds, just to test it for you).

Short Answer: Yes, it seems so :)

    *Update*

You can even upload movies from your computer web browser, or ftp. The only negative for me is the lack of iPad support, otherwise this is a *great* free download.

Would've liked to try this out on my iPad since it's free. Though AVPlayer HD works perfectly fine :p

Yeah I've been using it and its pretty awesome. I didn't know there were apps like this were you could just watch videos without converting them for iTunes.

    It even supports subtitles :)

I personally just use air video, and stream everything from my pc. I don't have room to put videos on my iPad, it's filled up with games. Plus I can stream videos off my pc, which is in my house, to my work apartment located 3 hours away. It converts the video on the fly (no waiting), and I have never had any hassle streaming over my apartments wifi. The only problem I have is when one of my teenagers turns off the pc, do they have an app to fix my kids?

I do imagine this would be useful for a plane riide though.
