Hello everyone, I just released my game:

Towel Tim for Android is finally available to purchase!

    Trailer: www.youtube.com/watch?v=dh-o7hDHCAI

Tim, who just got out of the shower, has been abducted by alien robots from outer space. Made prisoner, far from home, he relies on you and on his towel to help him escape... and to save our world from an impending wipeout.

Towel Tim is a platform/action game, relying on the codes and challenge of the classics, with some novelties, thanks to the multitouch screens technology. Virtual buttons and joysticks, online scores, finger tip control over the camera are added to the more common controls of platformers.

Please come discover the screenshots, the trailer and the features on the Google PlayStore:
    Free edition: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ilotbeton.toweltimdemo1
    Full edition: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ilotbeton.toweltim1

The free edition offers you the first 10 levels, while the Full edition includes 32 and no limitations. Two additional play modes, "Run" and "Jump" ensure unlimited fun. Towel Tim is an oldschool look-alike, wich requires few minutes to break its learning curve, but then, grant you with a thrilling freedom of movement.

Towel Tim includes absolutely no commercials, and all its future DLC will be free of charge.

Definately a title to look out for. I like platforming/adventure games, so I will be keeping an eye on the progress of the game. Liked on Facebook and I will be sure to check back in October for release!

Edit: Watched your teaser, looks amazing!

Would love to beta test this game if there will be one. If so, use Testflight.

Looks like a cool platformer, but from the video I found he moved a little slow!

    Hi tim (great name! ^^)

He has variable speed, most of the moves are made on small platforms, or edges, so I wouldn't make him too fast, but after few second running, or by double taping a direction button, he goes to boost speed wich you can see at 00:59 in the trailer.

In the next trailer I'll try to add more of the speedy gameplay. Thanks for this constructive input.

    Apple

The platforming looks fun but do you think Apple will accept this in the app store? I get the humor but how did you decide to use a guy taking off his towel to hit things instead of some other idea?

I really hope Apple won't bug me. They're messing around in case of exposed nudity, here, Tim has no genitalia, the most you can see about him is his butt.

The idea came from a personal experience. ^^ It seemed fun and I remembered laughing so hard watching Arthur in H2G2 in his bath robe. That book/movie inspired me a lot.

And by the way, thanks for the nice comment about the platforming looking cool. I hope the real feeling of the game will fit your expectations.

@tim240: Yes, and I'll prepare a version where Tim has underwear. It would be so ridiculous if he can be naked on Android but not on iOs... I definitely hope there won't be censure, children see ten time worse on TV... I even remember seeing Spongebob squarepants butt in an episode.

@SylvainDragon: yes, the best is to try it. You're right in that it has a puzle component, sometimes you have to stop and think about how you can continue, where to find a crate to jump higher, get the good timing to jump. So in some places you got to hurry/kick/jump, and in some you take your time to be precise.

The sprites technique used doesn't help with the smoothness, ad the fact that it has no lag in the controls too. But in the end it's a plus because you really got full control over the character. Be sure to try it in October and let me know!

    This is PORNOGRAPHY!!!

    Just kidding :D

Before the trailer even started to play I was thinking to myself that I bet he'll be using his towel to snap at enemies. Awesome. Towel snaps hurt!
