Its terrible. You'll regret it syntheticvoid Well-Known Member Jun 20, 2010 14,504 124 63 Musician & factory worker. a[V-O-I-D] http://apparentsymmetry.bandcamp.com #4 syntheticvoid, Jul 9, 2011 =o/ For free, it's hard to regret it... It's alright... you touch the racetrack to race... =oP I end up going off the track more often than I stay on it... maybe I just suck... I'm sure someone here will enjoy it. IMO the virtual pad just doesn't work. The buttons arnt responsive. chess Well-Known Member Jun 17, 2011 436 0 0 #7 chess, Jul 9, 2011 I find the touch controls in this much more responsive than, say Death Rally. Shortening the distance between your finger and the car as you enter a corner, then spreading it back out to accellerate felt pretty good to me. Thanks! Nizen Well-Known Member Jun 23, 2011 125 0 16 Student #9 Nizen, Jul 10, 2011 This game is pretty good, I use the virtual pad and have no problems so far. Well as syntheticvoid said, I go off track a lot. xD BUt I manage to win some. All they need is an update for multiplayer. caanerud Well-Known Member Mar 28, 2011 998 0 0 #10 caanerud, Jul 10, 2011 I'm very impressed with this game. It took some getting used to the controls, but after 3 or 4 races I got things under control. It's like Drawrace, only fun. Here's a copy of my UK App Store review that I submitted today: Touch Racing Nitro....is back! I've always been a fan of Touch Racing Nitro, but it was starting to feel pretty dated. But wow, fantastic update! Touch Racing has always been blessed with high octane, adrenaline pumping gameplay, but with the addition of Retina Display, the visuals finally live up to action. And with the integration of Game Center too, I'm abdolutely made up and have fallen in love with this utterly fabulous pocket-rocket all over again. Now I know the clue is in the title, but with ultra tight cornering skills, Touch Racing was always crying out for an alternative option to the touch control scheme. However, I'm afraid that the awkward new V-Pad option isn't the answer. Indeed, the original default option is still the way to go. That being said, I'd positively leap for joy if developers, Bravo Games were to adopt a similar arrangement to that of Remedy Entertainment's fabulous iOS top-down racer, Death Rally. For me, Remedy got their virtual joystick set-up absolutely spot-on and I'd dearly love to see Bravo bring in something similar (or exactly the same for that matter) for their own Touch Racing. In summary, I'm delighted to see Touch Racing Nitro finally deliver and bring in the gorgeous Hi-Res visuals that the epic, pin-sharp gameplay genuinely deserve. I'd rate Touch Racing Nitro at a comfortable 8/10, but that would be increased to nines if Bravo were to deliver on the controls. And I really hope they do. Highly recommended, but while it's free it's bona-fide must-have! LOLavi Well-Known Member May 23, 2011 8,364 0 0 iPhone gamer Finland #12 LOLavi, Jul 10, 2011 I never tried virtual pad... I mean the touch controls worked well for me! It was easy to slow down on curves etc. But when I got off the track, which happened not so many times, I couldn't get back to the track, and at that time I had no idea of the reset, so I lost some important races. Deleted. Was fun tho. best Well-Known Member Jun 19, 2011 492 0 0 ailartsua (zdrawkcab daer) XD #13 best, Jul 10, 2011 Last edited: Jul 10, 2011 hmmm i wonder why this game was only 3 stars -_- AND on app store Ghouls'R'us Well-Known Member Jun 9, 2011 555 0 16 #14 Ghouls'R'us, Jul 10, 2011 Never played this one before, but the latest version seems interesting, with challenging controls that show promise but make you feel inadequate until you master them a bit. Graphics are very good. I kept hitting pause accidentally on my iPad. It's true that one may keep being reminded of Death Rally and its tight controls. Touch Racing doesn't touch DR on that front, but still, it's manageable. syntheticvoid Well-Known Member Jun 20, 2010 14,504 124 63 Musician & factory worker. a[V-O-I-D] http://apparentsymmetry.bandcamp.com #15 syntheticvoid, Jul 10, 2011 yeah I played a bit more, and it seems that bringing your finger closer to the car to slow it down around corners really does help quite a bit... can't just fling the thing around corners and expect it to stay on the track... =oP But the reset button helps too in that instance... it's really nothing I can complain about considering I got it free a while back... =oP Bravo Games Well-Known Member Feb 24, 2011 60 0 0 http://www.bravogames.com #16 Bravo Games, Jul 12, 2011 Next game from BRAVO GAMES Visit us at Bravo Games to learn more!!
